Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Do you see a Christmas image? Do you think it’s Monday? Are you all mixed up? I am! Yesterday, for the Merry Monday challenge, I posted my regular Christmas card. But when I went to check out the other designers’ posts, I had a BIG surprise! You can see for yourself HERE. I hit a big birthday yesterday, and Lesley organized a birthday blog hop for me! She is such a sweetie, as are all the girls on the MM team….thank you EVERYONE so much! If I haven’t gotten around to commenting on your beautiful cards, I will!!!
Anyway, on to the ColourQ….and look at these fun little ornaments Arielle picked out!!! Of course, I had to do another Christmas card, although some of the designers did NOT….you’ll have to go look and see what they did with these colors:
So here is my card:
I used a bunch of different stamps on this (if you want to know which ones, just email me….I am too tired to list them right now, LOL!)…along with some rickrack, embossing and sequins! A little whimsy for a vintage card!
And I used the sketch from Match the Sketch 30:
And while I was at it, I had a quarter sheet of Real Red cardstock on my desk, so I folded it in half to make a little skinny card, and stamped some of the images from the new Project Life Holiday Cheer set. I punched them out with the 1” square punch and mounted them on Early Espresso squares punched with the Postage Stamp punch:
I added a little embossing, a little twine and a little glitter!
Another card for my stash! I hope you’ll play along with our Christmas in July colors this week!!! Can’t wait to see what you do!
So Saturday we had a little garage-warming/birthday bash at our house! John finished his garage and we had decided to have a party to thank the people who helped him out. We decided to combine it with my birthday! My sister flew in from SC for a day to help out…she is such a sweetie! And she makes me laugh!
And just in case you are interested in garages, here is the final product:
It is much bigger than it looks in this picture! The men (and some of the women) were quite impressed! And I am pretty impressed too, because John did most of it himself! And it makes a pretty cool place in which to have a party!
Enjoy your day! And thank you again to all of you who wished me well on my big day!

Darling cards LeAnne. Yes, sisters are the best. Wow what a great garage! What does your DH do that he needs a big garage like that? Sorry I missed your birthday.

HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY dear one! Looks like you had a fun time with family & friends. How nice of your hubby to build you a garage for your birthday:))) It is a real winner.
Today is my 53rd wedding anniversary....it was a hot day in MN in 1961:)!
Thanks for all of the work and inspiration you put into your blog.
Belated Happy Birthday! Looks like a wonderful celebration! And love both your card creations today!
Happy Birthday!
The cards are wonderful and the garage is fantastic. You should have garage dances there.
I love the pictures.
We are at the cabin so I will be looking but maybe not commenting.
Hugs,
Linda
Well, Sue spilled the beans about which milestone you reached, but since I beat you to it I can say you're still young! Actually, in my line of work we are constantly reminded what a blessing it is to have each birthday. Looks like you had a great celebration--how neat your sister was able to come! Boy would my hubby be jealous of this wonderful garage. When we built a house I always said our garage was bigger than the house & he sure misses it.
CUTE Christmas cards LeAnne!! But I have to move on to that garage... WOWZA!!! My hubby is an industrial mechanic and he would be tickled pink to have one of those!
Looks like you had fun at your party. What fun that your sister could be there. That is a great garage too. I can see you'll putting it to use in many different ways. Cute Christmas cards today too.
Heard it was your birthday, and stopped by to wish you a Happy Birthday!
Wahoo, that's some garage LeAnne! So glad your Birthday went well - Merry Monday really got me confused, especially as you'd posted a Christmas card - and then I spent over an hour going through your lovely posts with all those photos of your grand daughter. She's a real poppet - you're so blessed to have her close - our little ones live in Germany and we don't see them a fraction of what we'd like to, sigh :(
Belated Birthday Wishes!
Hugs, Di xx
YAY Santa!! This is such a great card! I love how you used the colours from the colourQ challenge! Very festive! :)
Love all the wonderful pictures of your garage party! I think that could be the next Disco Hall! Let me know, and I will fly up! So nice your sister could be with you to celebrate! I always love all your cards! XX
