Happy Wednesday, everyone! Are you staying warm? Boy, it’s cold out there! I spent some time in my craft room recently making a little “love” banner with the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, which is a really cool little tool. What do you think:
I have wanted to make one of these for a long time and I don’t know why I never did!!! I began by punching out four 4” tags from Real Red cardstock; the tags have to be no larger than 2” wide in order to fit into the punch. I also cut some tags from Modern Medley designer paper, trimming them to 1 7/8” by 3 7/8” before centering them in the punch. I layered them on top of the cardstock tags; the holes will not line up perfectly, but there is a small opening that is large enough to thread some ribbon or seam binding through. I used a bunch of vintage-imaged SU sets and stamped them right on the Modern Medley DP in shades of gray, black and red, then stamped my Morning Post letters and mounted them on Basic Black Artisan Label punchouts. Here they are a wee bit closer:
The Kraft Journal’s Make It Monday challenge is “Lace it Up”, so I added ribbon, embossed and sponged hearts, seam binding, rhinestones and taffeta flowers in addition to my lace!!! (But oops...I forgot you need to use KRAFT, which I didn't...so maybe I should make another?) I added a piece of black scored cardstock running horizontally on the back of the tags to give them some sturdiness and finished it with some wide black grosgrain ribbon! Sweet!
Cassidy made a suncatcher with some crafty stuff she received for Christmas:
I am going to run out of crafts soon! She LOVES to do crafts!Enjoy your day!

I LOVE this LeAnne! What a fun project to make with the new tag punch!
Oh my goodness I have to send Cora some of those. Her parents asked for an I pad mini for her for Christmas. So we got it and she is playing with it all the time we hear but now I am worried she won't play with her art stuff. This is adorable.
Your love banner is really cute I love the letter and background paper.
Stay warm!
Love your tag banner. The punch makes a cool top on the tag. I see Cassidy is a chip off the gramma block. She did a really good job on her suncatcher.
Good morning LeAnne, I love your banner. It is so darling and you did a beautiful job. I need to check out that challenge some day but I have a lot of cards to share right now that weren't in challenges. Don't let Cassidy not craft. It is good for her soul.
Lovin' the love banner! Really cute......need that punch now! Cassidy is doing great with her crafting!
Fabulous!! Love the banner!! My kids loved doing those painting crafts too :)
Oh, I love to see Cassidy's crafts. She is getting to be a great little crafter isn't she? She did a wonderful job on this cute butterfly sun catcher.
Your Love banner is gorgeous....so vintagey. Beautiful colour combo here. Wow, I love all the hearts, ribbon and lace. Where are the letter stamps from? They are so pretty.....oops, I think I see it now...are they the Morning Post Alphabet listed at the bottom of your post?
I love your tag card! Great use of the Letters and accessories. Cassidy's suncatcher is so pretty. I'm sure there must be tons of kids crafts out there for her to do. It's a terrific way to foster her creativity and keep her mind going. Have fun!
Cassidy has your crafting gene, very good colouring in, your project is lovely too LeAnne.

Great tags- I really like that they're bound together. Liam loves those suncatchers too- he blew through a box of Peanuts ones last year. I cracked up at the photos of Cassidy giving DH a haircut too. :)
