Happy Thursday, all! My Christmas card supply is rather low, so even though I have only one moose stamp, I thought I would play along with the Merry Monday challenge this week:
I finally broke down and got SU's embossing paste and stencils and just played around with them on a little piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock I had sitting on my desk....I just did a portion of it, trying it out. It really is fun and easy, and it dried quickly, so I went ahead and used it for my Christmas card:
The card base is some retired Kraft paper, and I also stamped my moose image in white craft ink on Kraft as well, then embossed it with white embossing powder. I used some Chocolate Chip ink to color him in, and Cherry Cobbler for his accessories! Speaking of accessories, the new mini dimensionals are AWESOME for adhering little bits like the pompom on Mr Moose's hat!
I stamped some star images from the same set and added some Cherry Cobbler Double-Stitched Ribbon; the sentiment is from Merry Crittermas, also retired! I think this moose looks a little sad, but maybe he's just cold! Thanks for popping in today!
We went to my nephew's farm to get eggs yesterday; there is always a plethora of cats around and Cassidy cannot wait to play with them. Most of them are black.....
but there's a little Siamese-looking one that somehow popped into the family:
She wants to bring one home SO BADLY, but sadly, Grampy says "no"!!! (Wayne agrees!) So we will just have to get our kitty fix every time we go for eggs!
Enjoy your day and be blessed! Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new As You See It challenge!

Love your fun Christmas card LeAnne - so glad you broke down and purchased the embossing paste, it's just great isn't it? Perfect background for your mooose. Cassidy looks like she's having fun; I have to say I'd be more inclined to bring home the chickens than the cats, but I have my hands full with the 4 we have!! Have a lovely day xx
ReplyDeleteLove your cute jolly moose. I like using the embossing paste too. I like how you used it on your card.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos you shared. Cassidy is cute as always.
Love the card, but also love the pic of Cassidy with the kitten on the farm. What kind of farm is it? I really miss being on a farm......
ReplyDeleteSuper cute Christmas moose! I couldn't play along with this challenge as I don't have a single moose in my stash. Embossing paste background looks great, too. But those kittens!!!! I would have been in heaven, and the siamese one is a real beauty!
ReplyDeleteLol, about the kitty's, this grandpa says no too, to Marie , but there so cute when there small, right?
ReplyDeleteYour card is so cute, it's almost here ,
Hugs Frenchie
Love to you both ♥️♥️♥️
Awww, the kitty is adorable!! Please Grampy, please? I am not a cat fan but that one is so CUTE! I can see why Cassidy wants to bring it home. Your moose card is super adorable, LeAnne! Love how you colored him and that decorative background using the embossing paste is so cool! Mine is on it's way to me....but you know how it takes forever to get an order here to PA! Such a cool card! TFS and have a wonderful day! :)
ReplyDeleteLove those kitty blue eyes!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Christmas card. That festive moose is so cute! Stencils and embossing paste are lots of fun so enjoy playing around with them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card, LeAnne! Love your embossing paste on the top and the Cherry Cobbler ribbon is a great divider. Then there's that moose, so cute! Love his hat! All those cats…looks like a lot of sneezing for me! :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this! Love the texture and layers LeAnne. Great colors too. That is a sweet kitty and it looks right at home in Cassidy's arms!
ReplyDeleteLove the card but I love how Cassidy has to get her kitty fix! You can tell she loves those kitties - it would be sooooo hard to not let her take one home. I envy your strength :-).
