AYSI153 Colorful Fall

Hi peeps!  Happy Friday! It's time for another As You See It challenge, and we have a lovely sketch for you!  Here we go:

No automatic alt text available.

I thought the sketch would be perfect for the pretty leaf images from the uber-popular Colorful Seasons set; they're about the only ones I haven't gotten inky yet!  I paired them with some pretty woodgrain from the Wood Textures Stack:

I used Chocolate Chip for my card base and stamped the leaf image on watercolor paper, first in Real Red and then again in Pumpkin Pie, right over top of it.  The outline image was stamped in Chocolate Chip, then diecut with the matching die from Seasonal Layers.  I stamped some random leaves and little flower centers along the vertical line, then I stamped a sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on the same watercolor paper and snipped the edges for a little banner:

I added a white mat on the inside of the card as well!  I just love this autumn-hued creation!  The AYSI team has a wide variety of samples this week using this sketch!  Be sure to check them out and share your own with us as well!

Dana and Wayne have set their date (Sept 9) and the girls went dress shopping earlier in the week. The bride gets to ring a bell when they decide upon a dress, and Dana let Cassidy ring the bell!  So yep, the dress is ordered!  You'll have to wait to see it, though!

Be blessed and enjoy your day!

  1. Love this card, LeAnne! The colors, the leaves, the DSP. If you don't mind, I'm going to have to CASE this one. It would make for a perfect card to send to one of my boys. All three live in Nevada now are 1600 miles away.

  4. That pop of color is perfect - great card. Congrats to Dana -- looking forward to seeing the dress. (my anniv is Sep 9 so I'll celebrate with them) No need to even ask if Miss C is excited - the look on her face says it all. Blessings to you all!

  7. This is one stunning fall card! Love the leaf with its layered stamping and those stamped on the DSP set it right off. It really "pops" on the browns of the CS and DSP. Cassidy looks pretty proud of herself! I bet she's really excited!!

  9. You did a fantastic job of that central leaf and you've single-handedly got me reconsidering my decision not to get the woodgrain stack of DSP.
