Hi everyone! Thursday brings another Inspired By challenge....here's my take on it:
and here's Laurel's pretty fall prompt:
The jury is still out on this card...I love the photo but I am not sure of the grays and the fall hues together on my card. My stem and foliage images are from Beautiful Bouquet; I stamped the stem in Early Espresso and the florals in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler, turning the stamp a few different ways to give it fullness:
After embossing the card with the Subtle embossing folder, I diecut a circle in the front and added a Smoky Slate scalloped border and Buffalo Plaid horizontal panel to pick up the pewter in the photo. I mounted the stamped panel behind the circle with dimensionals, and finally I added some sequins for sparkle!! The sentiment is from Right At Home's Grateful Heart, stamped and embossed in white on another piece of Smoky Slate, and I colored a piece of twill ribbon with a Smoky Slate Blend...very cool!:
I hope you'll find this IB photo inspirational and you'll play along too! Be sure to check out the Inspired By blog to see what the other designers created, and share yours with us as well! Thanks so much for visiting today!!
Since I can't seem to get a picture of Cassidy lately, I thought I would share a picture of a poster that she had to make for school, describing her favorite things. It's set up like a quilt and she had to fill it in with pictures such as her favorite animal, sport, subject, etc:

ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest idea ever that Cassidy did in school...Oh yeah LeAnne and your card...very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe jury is in and has come to a unanimous decision...cardmaker is guilty of capturing the total essence of the challenge. This juror came to her conclusion with the way you used the bouquet stamp and the gray to achieve the pewter look. AND what is not to love about the Buffalo Check background stamp. I want to keep calling it "Buffalo Chip"...lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty for fall.....and I am loving the gray with the orange!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a striking card, LeAnne! That bouquet really "pops" on the gray. Love the scalloped frame and buffalo check with it. That is such a cute project Cassidy is working on and what a cute idea!
