Happy Sunday, everyone! Did you remember to turn back your clocks last night? An extra hour of sleep--or an extra hour of stamping! Woohoo!
I am the hostess at the Paper Players this week and I have chosen "Holiday Pines" for our theme:
Wow, what to choose? I have lots of stamps that could fit this challenge, especially considering the beautiful prompt photo that Nance chose for me! In the end, I went with an old favorite from Cornish Heritage Farms called Winter Vintage Signage, and paired it with some greenery dies from Tim Holtz:
I used the sketch from Papercraft Crew as well:
I stamped the sign in Real Red and Tranquil Tide on Wood Textures DSP. The greenery was cut from Tranquil Tide cardstock; the background piece was a sweet gift from my friend Vickie, and was a piece of SU DSP from many, many years back; (I can't remember the diecut she used)! I added some Mini Tinsel Trim, washi tape, enamel dot, and lots of sequins from my stash!
If you haven't already, I hope this challenge is enough to get you started on your holiday cards! Share them with us at the PP blog, and be sure to check out what the Design Team came up with too:

ReplyDeleteLook how pretty Tranquil Tide is paired with Real Red! It has a soft vintage feel that is perfect for your tree farm sign and rustic paper. You are bang on with the sketch too--way to rock it!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Christmas card, LeAnne! Love those green pines and the holiday sign! You always make the nicest cards! Great pictures of Cassidy! Loved that she feels comfy to sit and read to you and the crossed legs! So sweet! TFS and have yourself a nice Sunday! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the festive sequins and that sign is awesome! I want a real life size one:) Great card for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice idea for the teacher to give out books!
Stunning, stunning, stunning! You are perfect at layering things so they look just like every element should be there and not just a jumble. The washi tape is great, that mystery die cut is amazing, just the right number of sequins.... The surprise for me was that Tranquil Tide works so well in a Christmas card. This is an amazing card!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I love the vintage feel with the modern layout. Your sequins are just perfect with the pine branch. Love the photos of Cassidy!
