PP355 Tic Tac Toe

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's time for another Paper Players challenge, and it's tic-tac-toe week!  Check out these fun options:

I chose the first row across, diecut, banner and birthday, and I happened to find a perfect sketch for it at Match the Sketch:

The Delightful Daisy DSP selection has some gorgeous florals, and since I know my friend likes flowers, this particular piece was perfect!

I used a few scraps from some other DSPs, including a piece of solid Old Olive, to make my banners; stamped the sentiments from Happy Birthday Gorgeous; added a little Wisteria Wonder scalloped mat and a Crisp Cantaloupe baker's twine bow, and it was done!

And I had to do some fun stamping on the inside too:

The DT has come up with some awesome samples; I hope you'll stop by the Paper Players' blog to check them out.  While you're there, show us your tic-tac-toe creation!  Can't wait to see them!

Laurie--off this week

A friend gave us three blackberry bushes back in 2014 and they are just finally beginning to produce fruit:

Some of the berries are enormous!!!

But they are the most sour berries I've ever eaten!  I don't know if it's the soil, the type of berries or what....they need a load of sugar to make them palatable!  If anyone has any ideas about how to grow them sweeter, let me know!  But this little guy must have thought they were okay:

You never know what you'll find in a garden!!  Thanks for popping by today...enjoy it and be blessed!

  4. I have found that the blackberries I've tried this summer are sour too, I always thought they were a sweet fruit, but I must be wrong on that one! :)

  6. Love your bright and cheery card LeAnne - your banners compliment your florals perfectly! Your blackberry is a whopper - I think the taste is generally down to the variety in my experience, but my advice would be serve with apples and plenty of sugar - blackberry and apple crumble is one of my favourite puddings!

  9. Cute card! That is an enormous berry but we had some lately that I'd bought and they were sour too. Not sure how you can grow them sweeter unfortunately.

  14. LeAnne, such a pretty floral card and I really like the layout. Wish I could help with knowing how to sweeten the berries. I've never grown them - just rip out the ones that keep creeping under my fence from the neighbors!
