Hello peeps! What a busy Tuesday it is! Two posts in one day again! If you'd like to check out my TSOT post, it's HERE. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon! I was thrilled to be asked by Justin at Stamp Ink Paper to be a guest designer for November! I just love their challenges! The first week is always a sketch..and what a nice one it is:
My Foxy Friends set was sadly neglected, so I pulled it out, along with some Presents and Pinecones DSP and went to work:
Now, we all know that foxes are never Mint Macaron in real life, but doesn't this little fellow look cute stamped in this shade? I added some Emerald Envy eyes and legs, a little Cherry Cobbler bow, and a sentiment from the retired set Merry Crittermas:
I added a strip of the opposite side of the pine DSP along the left side, along with a little stitched strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock! It adds such a nice contrast! And I diecut the squares with the Layering Squares dies too!
I hope that you'll play along with the SIP sketch this week! There are so many great possibilities with this sketch!
Last week, Cassidy brought home a Traveling Panda! Each week, a student takes the panda home and writes about their "adventures" in a journal. The following week it goes back to school and goes home with the next student! Cassidy named her panda Mandy! We had such a busy week, we didn't do too much with her but I do have a few pix to share! Cassidy loves to write, so it was a good experience for her! And Mandy is also wearing a sweater that I knitted for another doll, which makes me feel good!
Enjoy your day!
Oh, I love the mint fox with emerald legs! It looks fantastic! How fun for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think I saw one JUST this color drinking from our pond once... wait. maybe it was me drinking? NAH!! LOve this little guy, in any color! Darling kid, and fabulous little hand-knitted sweater - do your talents never end? xx

I love how you arranged the papers on this card. Lovely card, and more inspiration for me!
ReplyDeleteI have not liked that stamp set until now...it is so cute and I prefer the fox in the colors you chose. Cassidy's panda is cute too!
ReplyDeleteOh I am loving this card! That fox is adorable used for Christmas and I am starting to love that DSP! I think I really need to order it! LOL Enjoyed the picture of Cassidy & Mandy! It brought back a memory for me to when Kelsey was little. Each student was about to bring home a stuffed penguin for a week then tell the class the what they did with it. I think this may have been preschool but it was so fun and since then she has had a love for penguins! TFS your adorable card today & this wonderful memory! Happy November 1st! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet Christmas card! I love the colors and the layout you used. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe card and your little one are adoreable...thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors on your adorable card!! Speaking of adorable, that would be Miss Cassidy and her perfectly dressed panda Mandy!! What a cute idea and so much fun for the kids!!
