Happy Thursday, peeps! Wow, the week is zipping by! I have a card for two challenges today! The Paper Craft Crew Challenge is "Fall"; and the Stamp Ink Paper challenge is a tac-tac-toe!
The left column of leaves, sparkle and orange piqued my interest; I had something in mind but it wasn't coming together. My final card is not really what I had pictured, but it's going to have to do! I used a subway art panel from Close to My Heart and stamped it in Pumpkin Pie ink on Papertrey's Linen paper and matted it on Chocolate Chip:
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from a retired SU set called Harvest Home, and added an extra glimmer leaf!
My exciting news this week is that on Tuesday, I got to meet a long-time blogging friend, Linda Lapotka! She grew up in my area, but now calls Wisconsin home. She came back east to go to her niece's wedding and I met her and her sister at Longwood Gardens! It was a gorgeous day, very warm, and we had a wonderful time! I felt like I have known her all my life! Here we are, early on the misty morning, ready to go inside the gardens:

and we convinced Patty to sit with us too!
What a great day! Thanks for popping in!
You could be sisters!! LOvely card, lovely friends!

ReplyDeleteHow fun to meet another stamper, LeAnne! Looks like you had a wonderful day. And this is a wonderful card. I just love the peeks of Glimmer leaves here and there and the subway art is great! Fall is in the air!
ReplyDeleteI like the sparkle you added to your lovely card!! CUTE photos of you cute ladies!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, LeAnne! I bet the gardens are so pretty in the fall! I like the glimmer paper leaves on your card (and the whole card too). Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThough I read this post a few days ago I am belatedly coming back to comment! Love your sparkly orange card, and what an awesome, big, bold sentiment. Jealous about your Longwood Gardens photos! Was only there once, and washed rushed through, and busting to go back! (Maybe with you?!) Always glad to see your cards in the gallery at SIP :)
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, your Sentiment perfectly defines Fall! I love how you created your hardwood background...I never thought of stamping it with white craft ink on darker cardstock and then using pastels on it. Super cool technique. I also love how the linen stamp adds to your sentiment. These are just awesome details! Thanks so much for joining us at Paper Craft Crew and Stamp, Ink, Paper this week! Blessings, Tina
