Beachy Thinking of You

DSCF0776-001

Hi everyone!  Hope you’re having a good week…the weather yesterday was crazy!  One minute the sun was shining, the next, it was pouring rain!  I managed to get in a few minutes of stampy time to create a card for a friend who’s going through some issues.  I used the Linda’s sketch at  Freshly Made Sketches:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Beachy Thinking of You Impression Obsession

I gave a bunch of different stamps some love while making this card!  The beachy images are from an older Impression Obsession set, and I heat embossed them with Versamark and Crumb Cake ink and clear embossing powder, then colored them loosely with my Aquapainter.  They got a touch of glitter, too!  The background gingham, stamped also in Versamark, is from Unity; the cheesecloth is a retired Cornish Heritage Farms backgrounder, stamped in white on vellum, then diecut with a W+9 die; the speckles are SU’s Gorgeous Grunge, and the sentiment is from a nice set that my friend Martha gave me from The Paper Studio.  The twine is from last month’s Paper Pumpkin!

I am also submitting this to Shopping Our Stash 209, which is to use gingham and/or checks, and The Kraft Journal’s challenge this week is summer!  Thanks for popping by!

Cassidy decided to ride her bike in the rain, since she was already wet from swimming….crazy girl!

  1. LeAnne you gave theses shells so much amazing texture, they look so real! I thought you made them from something other than paper. Love the texture the twine adds, too.

  2. I love this beachy card, LeAnne! The gingham is great for the background and I thought the cheesecloth was real! What's better than rain, without thunder, to play in!

  3. I like the speckles on this LeAnne! The pink and light brown are pretty together and should lift your friend's spirits. Looks like Cassidy made a run for the garage when the rain got heavier!!

  4. What a beautiful card. I would never have guessed that the pinked squares were Vellum - love them! All the elements you used on this card, Versamark gingham, twine, dimension, just makes it perfect. Thank you so much for entering the Kraft Journal challenge.
