Happy Monday, everyone! It’s time for another Merry Monday…this time it’s a real one, not a birthday one, LOL! Thank you to all who participated in my surprise birthday blog hop! What a wonderful way to celebrate my big day! We also have a new featured designer, Jen Mitchell! Jen is a master of clean and simple cardmaking; she inspires me and amazes me all the time! I am looking forward to making merry with her this month!
The challenge hostess this week is Nina, and she has a fun theme for us:
I “collect” digital images….I have files and files of them and rarely use them, so I thought it would be fun to dig into my collection and print one out! Here we go!
I printed out the skate ad from the Old Design Shop on some cream-colored stationery I picked up at a yard sale and lightly colored it with some ink and a blender pen, then mounted it on a scalloped rectangle of Naturals Ivory.
I had some Lost & Found Christmas Special Edition papers with this beautiful glittery red swirl already on it, so I cut my paper to fit my card and diecut some red glimmer snowflakes. I added a little stamped sentiment on a banner, but I am not sure I would do that again, if I made it over!
Since I already had the DP on my desk, I printed out another vintage image, this time a postcard from a shop on Etsy, and made another card:
I added a few more vintage elements to the postcard, stamped in Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand, along with a vintage sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow, then added some lace and glitter:
Isn’t she sweet? I just love this image! I am not going to list my recipe list, but if you have any questions about anything I used, just shoot me an email! I hope you’ll play along with us at the Merry Monday challenge this week! I love this challenge and I hope you do too! Can’t wait to see what you create!
I keep a basket on my porch that has bug spray, sun screen, bubbles and other items that we might need outside. In it is also a little bottle of powder to use on wee feet that might have gotten wet from dewy grass or the kiddie pool. Cassidy took it upon herself one morning last week to apply the powder herself!
Judging by the look on her face, she knew she was in trouble! We had a lesson on sweeping with a dustpan and broom right after this!
Enjoy your day!
That's so funny! She is so sweet. And SO typical for a little one..reminds me of my kids when they were young. Your days look like so much fun with her around!
