Wow, I would never have thought to put these colors together, but aren’t they striking? I knew I wanted to mimic the plaid, but what to use with it? No kidding, in the last few days of stamping, this is what my craft area looks like:
I counted them, and there are over 20 SU sets there….and I still couldn’t decide what to use!!! Maybe I have TOO MANY stamps? Nah! In the end, I scrounged up an older Whippersnapper pup that hasn’t seen ink for a long time! What do you think:
The plaid was created with the stripes stencil from the Build a Banner Simply Created kit and sponges; I used the Hi There sentiment on a Word Bubble die, and stamped the dog in black Stazon and watercolored him with Summer Starfruit. I wanted to dude it up some more, but in the end, I decided to leave it just as it was! And here’s the inside:
That sentiment just cracks me up!I hope you’ll play along with this striking color combo! You can check out ALL the design team’s samples at the ColourQ…..and share yours too! See ya there!
Not sure what this conversation was about while we were dining al fresco the other night, but it was quite animated!
Love that face! Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteYour plaid design is so close to the inspiration photo! And the pup is just the right stamp there. Such an eye catching card.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE that plaid paper! The little puppy is adorable! Ok, your room is too neat. I might have that many stamp sets at one time and they are in heaps, not piles! LOL! Love your family pictures, too! XX
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card LeAnne. Lvoe the random paw prints... the colors look great! At least you only have stamps... my table is full of everything you can imagine!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had been there to hear this conversation. I love the look on Cassidys' face.
ReplyDeleteI love the plaid panel on your card. I hear you about sometimes not knowing what set to use. With me it continues to embellishment too and I usually have a bunch of them out on my counter.
The doggie is so cute (I miss mine) - great plaid LeAnne.
