Fusion Card Challenge–The Beach House

DSCF4605

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I’ve got a busy couple of days coming up, so if I seem MIA, I’ll be back, LOL!  I don’t think I ever participated in Lesley’s Fusion Card challenge….or at least, not for a long time.  She has a beautiful challenge and sketch:
I chose to use the colors of yellow and blue, and the beach theme is reflected in the shell:

I did a little experimenting and tried stamping on a piece of natural trim…it worked pretty well!  I also used a punchout of sandcastles and pails, although it’s a bit difficult to see here:

The shell is retired Stipple Shells, stamped in Bordering BLue; sentiment is from the current And Many More set, stamped in Early Espresso.  I also added some speckles from Itty Bitty Backgrounds, also retired.  Papers are from my stash, sorry I can’t remember the maker!  Edited to add:  I am also adding this to the Mixed Media Card Challenge, which is summer and burlap!

How about some pix from my garden:

I couldn’t help thinking the two bees on this sunflower created a face!

A few weeks later, the same sunflower is providing a snack for a male goldfinch:

And finally, a battle between a hummer and a bee, fighting for rights to the hummingbird feeder:

The hummer won this round!

Enjoy your day!

  1. Sweet card, like how you stamped on the ribbon too. I so enjoy your nature pictures. I had all of that wonderful wildlife, birds, flowers when I lived "up north". Now in FL not much here - too HOT.
