Happy Tuesday, peeps! And happy July 1st! Are you gearing up for the July 4th holiday? We have two picnics coming up….so I am whipping out my apron and recipes, getting ready to do some cooking!!! And Arielle is helping us get ready with this cool inspiration photo today for the ColourQ:
I had just pinned a piece of subway art from this site, so I was excited when I saw Arielle’s challenge! I knew that I wanted to create a little wall hanging, (no stamping here, sorry!) so I printed the words out (backwards) on my last piece of fabric transfer paper and ironed them on to a piece of white felt, which I then trimmed with some pinking shears:
I am not quite sure what happened, but there is a tiny tinge of pink around some of the letters, but as I said, it was my last piece of transfer paper, so I had to go with it! Actually, I am pretty sure I recently bought a whole new package of transfer paper…..but I can’t find it in my craft room. But that never happens to any of you, right? Maybe I just thought I bought it. Oh well! I stitched a little line around the edge of the felt, then hot-glued it to a burlap-covered frame. I added some felt stars, a gingham ribbon and some floss-trimmed buttons to finish off my non-stamping creation! It is now hanging in my kitchen with my other patriotic decorations!
So what will you create with these colors? Be sure to check out the ColourQ blog and see what the other designers have come up with! Not all of them are patriotic!!! You’ll love them!
Cassidy took all the little flags from inside the house and put them in my little flower garden:
I just love her so much! Enjoy your day!
She looks so sweet planting those flags..it's easy to see why you adore her!

Wow, Leanne - seriously!!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are scrumptious to use and your project knocked it out of the ballpark. So good to visit you, haven't been by in a coon's age.
ReplyDeleteI never saw the pink until you pointed it out. It makes it look even more vintage. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet that you are instilling your patriotic beliefs in your adorable little sweet heart.
