Yay! It’s Friday---the end of a long week for me….don’t know why, but I am glad it’s here! I was thrilled to see the Colour Me…! challenge this week:
because I LOVE Coastal Cabana, and I used it with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch from Rita for this fun card today:
I love how CC and black look together….a cool combination, and even though black flowers seem a bit odd, I think they look striking here! I used several different sets, along with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch, to pull this all together. I also used the new heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack...it fits nicely on the polka-dotted heart from Kind & Cozy! Here’s the sketch:

I can tell you, when I was a kid, my mom never let me jump on the bed! Wonder what happened when I became a grammy?
The accompanying music was “The Wheels on the Bus”, “This Old Man”, and “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain”…..just so you can get the right feel for the moment!

I used to sing "Comin' Round the Mountain" and "Home on the Range" all day on my swing, so I can identify with Cassidy today! No jumping on the bed, though...

ReplyDeleteJumping on the bed is great! Just as long as grandma is around to be a "spotter". I love listening to my little granddaughter singing, and I love teaching her new/old songs. I haven't sung She'll be Comin' Round the Mountain lately, she'll love that one.
I love your mix of stamp sets and I love the color combo too. It sounds like you are being the perfect grandmother -- one whose children will say, "she never let us do that!"
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning LeAnne! Gorgeous colours and I just love how you've embellished your tag - especially the smudges of colour! Jumping on beds is one of the best thing about being a kid - oh and puddles!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little the little girl across the street bit her tongue jumping on the bed. It looked like a fish gill. I never had any interest in jumping on anything after that. LOL I was afraid of everything fun.

ReplyDeleteWell, my dear...just sat down to do my FMS with just about the same idea so, of course, I love the Tape It for the banners! Such a great card- love the CC with black. I just got a new firm mattress and the salesman said to walk all over it for a few days to work it in. I should have just let you and Cassidy take a road trip to Pittsburgh!
