The Kraft Journal 166

DSCF2124-001

Hmmmm…..anyone know where my mojo has gone?  I am feeling quite “dry” creatively, not sure what it is going on!  I did a little reorganizing/cleanup in my craft room yesterday in the hopes that a cleaner area would rejuvenate me (didn’t happen) but I did find this stamp that my friend Martha gave me, and I realized I had never inked it up.  This week The Kraft Journal has a Paris/France theme challenge and I really wanted to play, (the design team has some beautiful samples) but I didn’t want to do the traditional Eiffel tower thing, and I wasn’t sure what else to do.  When I found my stamp, I thought it would be fun to use; apparently Le Chanticleer means “rooster” in French, so here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Le Chanticleer Stampin Friendship

This looks better IRL, but I think the darker colors don’t feel appropriate for “spring stamping”, LOL!  I stamped the image once on Crumb Cake and again on watercolor paper, then colored the image the way the stamp decal showed it, adding some shading in the background.  I overstamped the Crumb Cake with some other French-style images, added a shabby bow and burlap banner, and finally a simple “friend” until I figure out how I will use this card!!!  Next card will definitely be made with more springy colors!!!

Yesterday was finally a wee bit warmer, although still a bit windy, but nice enough to take a ride on the Barbie car!

I love this shot….it looks like she is speeding along, but the wind was just whipping her hair around!!

Enjoy your day!  Email me if you have questions about my card today!

And you're right, it does look as if Cassidy is on the race track speeding around! Love those happen chance shots.
