I did a real simple card using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch, turning it on its side, but I did it from memory, so my panels are not quite right:
Here’s the sketch:
I will have to try that sketch again, LOL! It also used the verse from Word Art Wednesday, and since eggs are a perfect Easter symbol, I thought the nest was an appropriate image. Of course, in nature, the eggs would be all one color, but I am taking artistic license!
I did make another card, no stamping on the outside, but it uses a digital image from my files, but I can’t find the source. It had both a front and a back image, so I printed them out and adhered them to a folded Soft Sky card, then trimmed the cardstock to fit:
Here’s the inside as well:
Most of my day yesterday was tending to a hyper child with a croupy cough….all. day. long! Poor thing, she couldn’t even take a nap, she coughed so much. We played outside and she was in a good mood, so I am hoping it’s just allergies! The doctor said the pollen was kicking in with a vengeance! Anyway, we found a caterpillar on the pavement and she was intrigued (I know, she shouldn’t be lying on the ground, but it was only for a few seconds, trust me):
She was mad because she touched it and it stopped moving:
So I picked it up and let her feel it, and then we let it go!
Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteSweet spring cards today LeAnne! Poor little Cassidy, hope she feels better soon, those croupy coughs are the worst. They said the pollen would be high for a couple of days. My son had a major headache from it yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAwe prayers to Cassidy and hope she is better soon. I LOVE your darling card LeAnne, very cute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - it's a great interpretation of the sketch and lovely use of the colour choice too. Hope Cassidy recovers from her cough soon. Elizabeth xx

ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful...I love your simple lay-out and so happy you were able to incorporate the scriptures we shared. Thanks for blessing us with your wonderful artwork at Word Art Wednesday. Have a nice day and sharing with you God's Word in 1 Corinthians 6:14, " By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also." Hugs always!
