Happy Tuesday, peeps! We had another snow-laden day yesterday….not the icy cold, light-as-a-feather, fluffy snow we had back in January, but heavy, damp, slippery, slidey snow….so slippery that DH slid off our driveway and almost hit a tree. Blessedly, he was able to get back on the drive, but it took a little effort! Meanwhile, Cassidy & I stayed in the house and baked a cake! Anyway, here’s the sweet inspiration that Arielle has for us today at the ColourQ:
And here we go:
I masked and stamped the balloons from PTI’s Love Songs in the challenge colors, and it looked a bit plain, so I stamped on the back of some silver glimmer paper and cut it out and popped it up:
and of course, I stamped another balloon on the inside!
The sketch is Arielle’s RetroSketches 100th sketch from Saturday:
Woohoo! My panels were all embossed with SU’s Adorning Accents EF, and the little hearts on the side were from Itty Bitties…sweet! I hope you can use these colors for one of your next “lovely” projects…and be sure to share it with us at the ColourQ! We can’t wait to see them!
Cassidy was happy to see the snow!
We finally got some snowpants…..so now we can play in it!
Love all the shades of red and those fabulous balloons! Pretty Valentine! Your snowstorm skirted us yesterday.....can't believe we missed one! But there is a foot coming tomorrow!
ReplyDeletedarling Valentine LeAnne, I need to start on mine today. I love the pic of Cassidy, she looks so grown up. Have a great day. Off to the doctor today.
ReplyDeletewow great you all can share the snow. LOL!
Love the picture of your little angel with her "halo!". Enjoy the snow...more on the way. We just rescheduled our Disney trip to April instead of for tomorrow. We have a foot here now and 2 more major storms predicted for tonight and over the weekend. I keep reminding myself of the Biblical promise that the seasons will continue until the last day, so Spring will be here soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty balloon bouquet! Love the silver one among the pretty colors! Hope Cassidy has a good time in the snow.
ReplyDeleteI feel so cold just seeing your photo of the accumulated snow! Brrr! I'm liking the color combo--perfect for this time of the year. Your card ROCKS. I just love everything about it, the balloon with their tangle of strings, the strips of color behind the focal point, the fact that they are embossed, the little circle hearts, the glittery balloon and the flowing greeting....!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this one, LeAnne! The sparkly balloon is the cutest accent, adorable card! Thanks for popping by my blog, I can't BELIEVE how big your sweet GD is getting! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card. Is the sentiment from the PTI set also? I love it and that sparkly silver balloon too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad DH stayed safe and was able to get back on the driveway. Baking a cake sure sounds better to me than going out in that weather.
Ugggh the snow is hitting us tonight through tomorrow 6-12". Cassidy looks pretty happy that she gets to try out the new snow pants!!! Love your card, the heart balloons are super fun!
ReplyDeleteWe got this snow too, eight inches of it! More on the way tonight, yikes! But it's winter...so no surprise!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Leanne! I love the sparkly heart popped up over all the pretty colored hearts!
Total sweetness! Love all the details packed into this card with the heartS;)
