2 Sketches

DSCF1156

Hi everyone!  I had a wee bit of stamping time on Monday and utilized a couple of sketches!  The first one was from The Kraft Journal:

My four top-selling downline received one of these cards:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings See Ya Later Duo Stampin Up SAB

Here are closeups:

I used the SAB set See Ya Later and papers from the Fresh Prints and Retro Fresh lines, as well as the little banners from Banner Blast.

The second one was a thank you card for a sweet friend, and it uses the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge 208:

I used some papers that were “gifted” to me, along with vintage images from Established Elegance and French Foliage, in shades of Pink Pirouette and Basic Gray.  It was embellished with some shabby seam binding, a glimmer heart and an organdy rose; sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners:

One of Cassidy’s special treats when she has a sleepover is to make popcorn.   She is just fascinated when that mountain of popcorn begins to come out of the chute!  She calls it a snowbank of popcorn!!!  It was a worthwhile yard sale investment of $4, whenever I see that look on her face!!

And she doesn’t like it when Grammy sneaks a piece from her bowl, LOL!

Enjoy your day!

  1. Beautiful cards! I read your blog daily and enjoy watching Cassidy doing fun things with you. I also am blessed to be able to keep my grandchildren after school now, but I did keep them when they were younger as well. I am a retired first grade teacher and saw the picture of C. coloring a couple of days ago. Please start now to teach her the "school" way to hold a crayon. It will make her life much easier and she will like knowing how the "big" kids do it. Also, another fun activity for the popper is to spread a clean sheet out and let it pop freely onto the sheet. She can have a blizzard! I did that at school in the fall when we were studying Indians and Thanksgiving. The class sat on the edges of the sheet until all the corn was popped, then ate it. They loved it. We have only had a few flakes of snow this year in our part of Texas, so the children are still hoping for a snowfall.

What a gorgeous vintage card. All the greys and pinks are so perfect together. I love the flower/bow/heart embellishment.
Hope you have a great day.

  3. Sorry I hit the "publish" button too soon. The cards for your downline are wonderful-lucky ladies:) You've showcased these papers so nicely. I didn't really give them a second glance in the catalogue. I like the way you have the cute little banner peeking out from the circles.

  7. Adorable with the little banners popping out on your DL TY cards.

The pink card is super! Love the colors, images, and embellies.

Cassidy is so cute watching the popcorn. I remember being excited as a child with the Jiffy Pop on the stovetop.
