Hi everyone! Today is my anniversary, and I made John a card! I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch 119:
and pulled out some neglected products to create it:I had almost forgotten about this Modern Medley paper until I made my “love” banner last week, so I dug it out again and paired it with Pear Pizzazz, a color that again, I rarely use. I embossed the card base with the Alphabet Press embossing folder, which I think is really cool with this newsprint DP. I only hope he doesn’t think the Chalk Talk flourish is too feminine, but I’ll reassure him that it’s not!! It’s the sentiment that’s important!
Miss Cassidy still loves to play in the sink:and is quick to tell me that she is making “tea” for her tea party!!!
Enjoy your day!
Happy Anniversary! I have enjoyed your blog and your amazing talent for a long time. How lucky that sweet granddaughter is to have you TWO fabulous grandparents!

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you you both! :) Your card is a perfect choice of colors and design! Hope you get to spend some quality time together! HUGS
ReplyDeleteNeat card, LeAnne. I had my Modern Medley out last night, too! Now, I still neglected it but it was out! Love the elements you chose to use with the sketch- just love that sentiment! Again, my saga of moving has me back in PA awaiting the condo carpeting etc. In the meantime, I am staying at my MIL where we have some stuff stored in a huge basement. This past weekend, my 21 year old daughter found her Little Tykes kitchen with its color changing tea pot and ran to the sink to see if it still changed colors when hot water was in it! Love seeing Cassidy enjoying her fun childhood:)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable hostess! Blue is definitely her color.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. I love your card and the colors you used. I think it is a perfect anniversary card for your dear hubby.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND JOHN! May God bless you both and give you many more happy years together.
ReplyDeleteWow you did an wonderful job with this sketch - it looked very intimidating to me when I saw it yesterday. I love Pear Pizzazz and paired with the Modern Medley it is really a pretty combo. I just recently got my Chalk Talk dies and stamp set so I must get busy and use them. John will love this card -- it is beautiful.
Cassidy looks likd she is right into her play there.......wonder what is going on in her sweet little head;)
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! He will love this card, manly colors and newsprint!! I think he'll be too busy reading the newsprint to even think there's something feminine on here!! Hope Cassidy didn't serve that tea to you and grandpa ;)
