Ah, it’s Monday again…another day closer to Christmas and time for another Merry Monday challenge! I am finding the closer I get, the more simpler my cards!! Before we get to the challenge, I want to thank all my readers who emailed me information about my missing vintage girl image here. Several sites had it, so hopefully I won't lose her again! Here's the latest one from my friend Teri: The Workshop Window, if anyone else would like to have her!
Now, for the challenge! Today, Lesley has an “animal” challenge for us:
Now, for the challenge! Today, Lesley has an “animal” challenge for us:
I had lots of ideas again, but chose to go REALLY simple after I found this pretty Christmas paper in my “old” stash….I think it’s by Basic Grey…..and I stamped a simple reindeer and sentiment on top:
Lazy, I know! But that paper is so pretty, I felt like it didn’t need much more except a couple of rhinestones:
I stamped the sentiment on the inside of my So Saffron card, and it was done!
I know there are tons of adorable animal-themed Christmas stamps out there, so I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! Check out the other cards at Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper! Have fun!
I had been thinking of an idea to make Cassidy a little winter hat (while I laid in bed and couldn’t sleep!) so I went to work, using some really soft furry material I had used to make her little “lovey” blanket. Not bad for no pattern and trying to measure a squirmy three-year-old….but she did NOT want me to take her picture, and really doesn’t want to wear it….at least not today!
She actually has it on backwards, but I couldn’t convince her to put it on the right way, LOL!

ReplyDeleteI never think about stamping directly on the DSP but I'm always wowed when I see it! And I love Cassidy's hat! It will be so nice and warm when she's playing outside and it's so pretty too!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea to stamp directly onto the dsp, LeAnne! This is so adorable and I love all the added rhinestones!!! Happy Holidays, my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you stamped the reindeer and sentiment directly on the DSP. I always forget to do that for some reason. Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteYet another adorable picture of your Cassidy!! :) Great job on the hat!!
The background creates so much movement in this card. The reindeer really looks like he is flying and somehow looks like he is being zapped on the nose, perhaps with some magic from Santa. So clever.
ReplyDeletecool background! love stamping on pp!
