DD37 and LIM104
Happy warm Wednesday! Gee whizzies, we are having some weird weather in SE PA this week! It is supposed to be in the 60s!!! I had a wee bit of stamping time yesterday and wanted to make a get well card for a friend from church who suffered a stroke over the weekend. He is only 59 years old----yikes, that is SCARY stuff! I hope they can find the cause; he is making good progress but he needs lots of prayers. I made a one-layer card for him:
I used the colors from Dynamic Duos, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede:
as well as the Less Is More sketch #8:
choosing a masking technique for my card. I first scored two sets of lines on my card, then added some post-it notes above and below them. I sponged the area with Crumb Cake ink, did some collage-style stamping in the same color, then removed the masks and stamped the tree and sentiment in Soft Suede:
Clean, simple, easy…..well, not so easy; it took me THREE tries to get this right! You know how things go sometimes!!! I added a sentiment and a Bible verse on the inside! I hope he likes it! This is also for The Kraft Journal’s Make it Monday, which is to use Northing but Kraft!
Some more Lotto!

ColourQ
Happy Tuesday, stampers! We got through Monday, and Tuesday means ColourQ time! Here’s a yummy inspiration photo from Arielle:
Wouldn’t you love to have one of these on your door? So cute! I haven’t done anything vintage for a while, and while cleaning out my stamp room, found this little image from my friend Martha, so it seemed perfect to whet my vintage appetite:
The image was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock in Versamark and Early Espresso inks, then embossed with clear embossing powder. I watercolored my sweet little girl with reinkers, then added some embellishments and a nice big shabby bow!
I found some older Basic Grey paper from the Stella Ruby line which had the same romantic vintage feeling I was going for, so I used that for my background. Hope you find LOTS of inspiration from this photo and use it to make something “love”ly!!! Be sure to check out the ColourQ blog to see what the other courtiers did with these colors, too!
My sister knows that I love vintage children’s games and toys, so it was a happy day when she gave me a little boxed game called Lotto. It’s sort of like Bingo….and Cassidy liked it too:
Enjoy your day!

Merry Monday 47
Happy Monday, peeps! Another challenge for Merry Monday, and today, Lesley has a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! They’re always fun! Here we go:
I chose to go diagonally from top right to bottom left: Snow, Colour with Markers, and Designer Paper:
I pulled out some cool kraft paper with glossy embossed snowflakes from my stash and a frosty little polar bear image from MFT, which I stamped on shimmery white cardstock and colored with Copics! His little “pond” was stamped on a piece of vellum that I have had in my stash FOREVER….it was wheeled in Craft White with an old SU snowflake wheel that retired a long time ago!! I glittered everything up and it was done!
I added a banner for my sentiment and topped it with a snowflake from my new favorite little set, Itty Bitties!!
I hope you are getting a good head-start on your own Christmas cards by playing with our challenges! Check out Always Playing with Paper to see ALL the Christmas creations by our designers! And play along with us!
I had been saving these old tattoo stamps from SU for a long, long time! Originally, there was a black stamp pad, but it has long since dried out, but the markers are still good. I colored the tattoo stamp with the marker, stamped her hand, and Cassidy was hooked! Her first stamping venture!!! She managed to do a few on her own, even stamping on her coloring book page! By the way, her hair HAD been in a pony tail, but she pulled it out…hence the wild-woman look!
Here you can see her ladybug “tattoos”!!!
Enjoy your day!!!

Dumplings by the Dozen
This is just a quick little post today….I have relocated my stamping supplies to the family room so no stamping going on in the last couple of days!!! I wanted to share the gift that I made for my club hostesses; I lost the original picture, which showed ALL the different fabrics, so I will just have to show you two that happened to be at our last club meeting:
Sorry the photo isn’t better…I snapped it on my kitchen table! They are called dumpling bags and I got the directions to make them HERE. (I made the larger one). I wish you could see the inside; they are lined with coordinating fabrics and they have a little ruffled ribbon tie on the zipper. VERY cute and big enough to hold Snips & Snail to tote with you when stamping at an event!!! And since some of the fabric on the Clearance Rack is $.99, you can make one for a song! Here’s a closer view of one:
I made FOURTEEN of these! I started back in the fall, and I don’t have my get-together until January, so there was a lot less pressure than if I had to have them done by Christmas!
Enjoy your day---be sure to stop back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge, where I am the hostess!

January Club Projects
Happy Friday, peeps! We are waiting for some snow to arrive….it’s certainly been cold enough, maybe TOO cold? Anyway, I thought I would show you the club projects my hostesses made this month featuring some spring mini products:
This is actually a very simple card; we ran the Core’dinations Primrose Petals card through the Honeycomb EF and sanded it for a vintage look. I used a sanding block from my husband’s shop, and a lint roller to clean up the little “shavings”!! Worked like a charm! The Collage Curios stamp set gave us a chance to practice with the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig as well as use those cute little Soda Pop Tops! A doily cut in half adorns the top!
Our second project uses Oh, Whale! with the coordinating clear Sizzlets die as well as the Cloudy Day EF and Sunshine & Sprinkles DP:
And did you know that you can cut three layers of DP in one pass of the Big Shot? We cut little squares of the polka-dotted Patterns paper, stacked them one on top of each other and cut out the little fishies! Cute!
And finally, here is the gift I gave my hostesses: a tin filled with little goodies, covered in Sunshine & Sprinkles DP and adorned with the flower from Decorate a Daisy, a leaf cut with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die (still available!!!) and a little pop top adorned with a lady bug from Itty Bitties:
These bright cheery colors remind me that despite our dreary skies, spring will be coming! If you have any questions about anything shown here, just shoot me an email!
Cassidy found a box big enough to play in:

Wheeeeee!
