Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s time for another Paper Players challenge, and I am the hostess with a clean and simple challenge today! Here you go:
This challenge is a great opportunity to use some beautiful designer papers, which is what I did in making a card for my niece’s birthday, which happens to be today! This bold print from International Bazaar looks great with sentiments from both Word Play and Delightful Dozen:
Pool Party, Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango were not colors I would think to put together, but they are perfect for a bold, simple card! I fussy-cut around the circles and added some borders cut with Nesties; a stamp-a-ma-jig helped me position and stamp my “wish big” sentiment; and then I stamped the Delightful Dozen sentiment repeatedly over the background of my Tangerine Tango card. I added some In Color brads as well as a couple little flags made with Pool Party ruffled ribbon and another piece of the International Bazaar paper:
Please be sure to check out the Paper Players blog where you’ll see all the other designers’ creations! Birthdays seem to be a big theme there……I am sure you’ll get some inspiration to be your own “wordsmith” this week! Hope to see your creation there too!
My DD says that Cassidy is cutting a tooth, hence the fever and lack of appetite. She fell asleep on the couch, something she has NEVER done before:
hopefully that mean ole tooth will pop through soon!
That picture of your granddaughter is so precious! Hopefully that tooth comes in really fast and she's back to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing! Love the boldness!!
This is gorgeous, LeAnne! I love the color combination, it truly works. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the card especially the fish tail banners by the sentiment.
ReplyDeletePoor sweet Cassidy, it is no fun being sick or cutting teeth. Hoping it breaks through soon so she can go back to playing in the sprinklers.
Wow - I would never think to put these colors together either but they really work. My favorite element is that fussy cutting and little scallop circles peeking out. I love the look of the brads too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun fun card LeAnne. Your fussy cutting is so creative and perfect.

ReplyDeleteLeAnne, what a beautiful card and love the way you used the sentiment for the background and created your own DSP and the scallop borders are terrific.. Also the picture of your grand daughter is so precious. I hope her tooth comes out soon and feels better.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant circle border! You have a gift for seeing the potential, not just what's right in front of your face! Super cool card. Hope Cassidy cuts that tooth! Not fun :) Erika
