FMS12 Sympathy

DSCF9677

Happy Black Friday!  Are you going out shopping?  Me neither!  Eeek!  I always had to work on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and now that I don’t, I have no desire to go out!  I’ll stay home and snuggle with my wee one!  I hope you have fun today, whatever you’re doing!

I needed another sympathy card this week and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was perfect to get me started with a quick one:

FMS12

And here’s my card:

I stamped a Bible verse from ODBD over a tree image from Waltzingmouse in the colors of this retired SU paper, Elegant Soiree.  Hmmmm…..in real life, these colors all match a lot better!  Must have been that I photographed it late at night?

Anyway, I masked part of a sentiment from Petite Pairs for the words at the bottom left front, and then continued them on the inside:

My only other embellishment was a small piece of linen thread tied on the front.

I didn’t have Cassidy yesterday but I did snag a photo of some other sleepy family members:

Pumpkin & my two nephews….a lazy Thanksgiving afternoon!  Thanks for visiting today!  Email me if you have any questions!

  1. LOL Pumpkin completely took over that chair and maybe the remote as well? :o) I am staying home today; I depend on Amazon to deliver my holiday gifts! Sorry to hear you needed this kind of card, but it turned out very nice. Hugs.

  6. Your Pumpkin looks just like my crafting room buddy, Tang! (named that years prior to Tangerine Tango! But yes, he does get called that.) I hope Pumpkin isn't near as naughty, my Tang has been responsible for more stamping mayhem, but I can't resist that lush purr and soft, beautiful orange and white fur!

  7. Such a beautiful card, LeAnne! Love how the sentiment is peeking out. I had to laugh at your cat taking up the whole chair. My dog, all 19 pounds of her, can easily take up the whole loveseat and I'm not sure how she does it! LOL
