Merry Little Stocking

DSCF8547

Happy Friday!  It’s been rather a whirlwind around our house; my DH had a medical emergency which prompted an overnight stay in the hospital, so I am feeling a bit weary.  He’s okay and home now…we appreciate all the prayers that went out.  I had stamped this sweet little Christmas card last week and this seems like a good time to pull it out:

I had purchased SU’s stocking punch but not the coordinating stamp set; even without that, you can make a cute card!  I had a scrap of Real Red already embossed, so I popped it in the punch, along with a piece of white and Garden Green Patterns DP for the coordinating pieces.  I ran a piece of GG cardstock through my Big Shot using the medium-sized Square Scallop die, then slid it over in the die and ran it through again to get the size of rectangle I wanted.  I stamped the Christmas Collage background stamp on it, sponged the edges, added a sentiment and a little baker’s twine hanger, and my stocking was ready to be the perfect little embellishment for this card!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I'm so sorry about your emergency but I'm glad all is well now. I pondered over the stocking punch and passed on it, but it sure does make a cute and simple card! I don't comment every day either, but as you said.......I'm checking out your blog every day, and loving all these precious pics of Cassidy :)

  2. This is a perfect example of CAS. The simple sweetness of it perfectly captures what Christmas should be (at least the gift-giving part of Christmas!)
