Another week and another great challenge! This week it's Barbara's turn to throw down some colors, and she has chosen Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Always Artichoke.
Now remember, if you don't have these colors, just use the closest you have! We want everyone to be able to participate. You might be chosen as our Featured Stamper and maybe even get a chance to be the Guest Designer! So get to work! Post your creation on your blog and link it back to the CTD blog via Mr Linky--remember, use the exact link, not just your blog address!! Edited to add: This week's sponsor is Denise January, a Stampin'Up! demonstrator. Check out the CTD blog to find out what little goodie she has for our winner!!!
The Diva Coffee Break Designs challenge this week was a sketch, so I was able to combine both challenges! Woohoo! Here's the sketch:
I turned the sketch on its side, as I don't have any sentiments that run vertically! So here we go:
I broke out my new hostess set, Of the Earth, as well as the new Medallion background stamp. After stamping it in Chocolate Chip, I trimmed it down to a square shape and stamped it again in Always Artichoke for the circle. I had some leftover Build-a-Brad acrylic pieces (how did that happen?), so I just adhered a little Circle Circus circle, bradless, to the center of my medallion. The 1 1/4" striped ribbon really is fun to work with--I usually don't like ribbon that big, but it worked well here. I added some glitter which is undetectable in the photo, but it's on the stems and on the little circles of the AA piece. I subtly stamped the floral image on the CC background as well as the sentiment.
