A crafter can never be "too soon" for Christmas, can she? I was so happy to see this cute little snowmen image in the new SU catalog, even though it is a Level 3 Hostess Set. This is called The More the Merrier! I am still on a mission to make samples with my new sets, so I thought Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #25 was a good one for this image. Here is the sketch:
And here's the card:
It also uses Punch Pals for the medallion; the Bashful Blue panel was embossed with the Texturz small dots pattern. Glitter and a Jelly Roll pen added some glittery snow! This also qualifies for SCS WT226 challenge, Christmas in July!
I was just sort of playing around with this image because I love watercoloring!
Real quick I made this card because I couldn't think of what else to do with it!
I guess you might call it CAS. Also uses the leaf from Autumn Days stamped on Dusty Durango and Soft Suede ribbon. Card is Close to Cocoa. Now it's off to mow the grass! Have a great day!
These are both great! Seriously!! I love that snowman image... it is never too early to start on Christmas cards. I am feeling the itch to make some myself!!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, yet another beauty! TWO of them!! I love those snowmen and can't wait to use them at my Christmas in July SAS this Friday nite. I need to get playing, to make some more samples. Great job and great inspiration!!
ReplyDeletecards are so sweet. Love that acorn one.
ReplyDeleteOh so darling!! I just LOVE these sweet row of snowmen!! I still have this set!! :) TEE!! Not going to get rid of it either!! The sparkle is fab and the acorn card is just too sweet!! Fabulous layout!! TFS!:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your support and lovely words!! :) HUGS
You are so ahead of the game--autumn and winter in just one post?! Love your snowmen and sparkly snow, and the colors on the other one make me long for fall!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that Christmas card, so very cute, I hope we get that set here in Oz!
ReplyDeleteThose snowmen are tooooo cute! I realy love the CAS card, there's something I enjoy about making autumn cards.
ReplyDeleteI was bloghopping to procrastinate from mowing the lawn, but I suppose if you can, I can. And it's not raining---a first around here!
I love them both!
ReplyDeleteHi LeAnne! I sure don't want to think of Christmas or SNOW yet, but you're cards are just ADORABLE! I love the snowman set and especially how you've colored it and added the glistening snow. CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your fall and Christmas cards... SO ready for those seasons! I'm a cool weather girl... LOL! ENJOY your evening and thanks for all the inspiration on your FABULOUS posts!! YOU ROCK!! Smiles and big hugs... Michelle :)
ReplyDeleteboth cards are really cute! I LOVE that medallion on the 1st card, and those square scalloped punches really put some zing into the 2nd one! Nice!!
ReplyDeleteLove these cards! Great job with the new sets. ~chris
ReplyDeleteThe snowmen are cute (how can snowmen be otherwise?!) but I LOVE your acorn card!! FAB colors and layout!!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards LeAnne! I love the colors and the stamps. Is the only way to get the snowmen to have a class that is $500? I am always my own hostess at $150 and I go to a demo"s house.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh Always a place and time to sit and look at what you create....and, yes, I asked Joy to send me my dew drops....and I'm still waiting.....so I'm going online and order some more. And, FYI, I LOVE my SLICE. I just haven't had any time to actually USE it. The problem? I like my scallop layers to be nestled closer to each other's edges, and with the SLICE, they're 1/2 inch apart. Too large a difference.
ReplyDeleteFabulous snow people. But I really love the acorn card. What a nice sketch you have created there (and wonderful colors)
ReplyDeleteOooh, these are both awesome, LeAnne! LOVE the medallion on the snowman card, and love the simplicity of the acorn card!!!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha! Word Verification: flywerst!
These are so sweet Leanne, love them, i gotta seriously crack on with some christmas cards, i so slacking!
ReplyDeletelove the cards tho
