On Dasher!

DSCF4590

Don't you just love those single stamps on the last page of the SU catalog?!  Sometimes we like to try things that might be a little different than our normal style, and with a single stamp, you can do that and get great value and images for a small investment.  This little guy is "Dasher".....and as I was chatting with my bloggin' buddy Stacey yesterday about an upcoming party I was having, she suggested that I make a hinge card.  The directions to these were in our SU magazine (somewhere) and I had seen them online, but never made one!  So when my favorite guy in brown arrived JUST before my party, I ripped open the box and came up with a FAST hinged card:

Now, we're talking 30 minutes before I need to walk out the door, here, people, so it is minimal, to say the least!  Anyway, I used Rich Razzleberry to stamp Dasher and Razzleberry Lemonade for my DP.  When you slide the hinged piece back, here is what you see:

Again, really simple, using the new Modern Label punch with a sentiment from Short & Sweet.  Here is Stacey's sample, to see how stepped-up you can make it (go to the second project).  And while you're there, check out her other creations, if you have never visited.  She is an extremely creative stamper!  I am constantly inspired by her!  Once I got the measurements, this was fun and easy to do!  And of course, adding Dazzling Diamonds glitter to his antlers really made it sparkle!  The next time I will add a few more embellishments, so watch for another one soon!  TFL!
