No, the card is not distracted....I was distracted while making it! Let's see.....five phone calls, someone at my door, I stuck an un-cleaned stamp inked in Garden Green onto a Pretty in Pink stamp pad, and I spilled a whole container of microbeads on my desk, all while making this card! I think microbeads are actually alive....they jump all over the place when you are trying to corral them back into their container! LOL!
Anyway, this card uses Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and the jewelry inspiration #40 from Stacey's Stamping Stage:
We were to use Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, and Garden Green....my DP is actually retired Wild Wasabi, but I did use a layer of GG on my panel. I left it sentiment-less for future use!
For the SCS Color Challenge today, we were to make a single layer white card with any color ink. I chose to highlight a couple new In Colors, Bermuda Bay and Mango Mambo...still getting used to those names! I used a retiring Hostess set that I am REALLY going to miss, Darling Dots to make a CAS card:
The sentiment is from an upcoming Level 3 Hostess Set, The More the Merrier....a great set! I added some Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon and DD glitter as a little accent! TFL!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Color Throwdown Challenge!!!

What a wonderful creation even while distracted! I think that not only are microbeads alive - they are possessed by demons! I love your color challenge card too! ~chris

ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are stellar!
ReplyDeleteI love your comments about microbeads being alive! They totally seem like that some times.
Oh my goodness, LeAnne! You are a trooper...thanks for sticking with it:) I must say, your time (even though distracted) was definately worth it with these pretty cards! Thanks for playing in the JCI40!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards - love the distracted card story (remind me not to buy microbeads! LOL)
ReplyDeleteAnd I have been dying to get my hands on that Darling Dots stamp set....my chances might be lost!
Anyway - great cards as always!
Great cards. So glad you stayed focused. I would have things strung from one end of the house and still be trying to remember what I was doing! Bad case of Adult ADD!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super CUTE card for being distracted and having your card look this awesome!! I made a card, but not as pretty as yours!
ReplyDeleteYour second card is WOWOOWOWOOWOWOW and I have to CASE it...:) Better get stamping now... HUGS! :)
As always, your cards are both darling. I have to say that I love the first one the most. So I'm curious, on that 5th phone call, did you just answer it with "what do you want???" Boy, I sure would have at that point...lol.
ReplyDeleteBased on your description, I think all my cards are distracted!
ReplyDeleteLove both card, but that flower on the first is just beautiful. Great work!
LOL, I'll have to keep that in mind about the microbeads...I've never worked with them. Sorry you had so many distractions while making the card (I've had too many days like that myself), BUT, both cards came out beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOoohh Very Pretty!!!! And your one layer card... gorgeous... Must keep that in mind for my next SAS.

OK, the first one... let me know when you're stamping again and I'll call you a dozen times 'cause you ROCK when you're distracted! And the second one... LOVE those new colors (love the names, too!)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors! Love the CAS style!
ReplyDeleteI loved your CAS card...such a great disign, but your inspiration/color card is so pretty too...so distractions or not...all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove both of these beautiful cards! Don't you just "love" it when you stamp dark ink on a light pad. Ugh!! I think we all feel your pain there. For all the trouble, these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Thank you for sharing. Oh I remember someone stamping Chocolate Chip on my Pretty in Pink stamp pad in a workshop once. Ouch! Especially as I had to be soooo polite and say 'oh don't worry, it's not a problem...etc.'
ReplyDeleteI love the distracted card! :-) I'll check out the jewelry challenge, what a great idea! Thanks for the inspiration! Lisa
ReplyDeleteI can so relate to your distracted card! I think most of mine are made this way! I do love it though!!
