Mmm, some sweet colors this week from our stampin' diva Barbara! Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Certainly Celery--lovely colors together!
I can't wait to see what you talented, creative stampers can come up with using this wonderful color combo! Post your creation to your blog or an online gallery (use the keyword CTD46) and then link it back to Mr Linky on the CTD blog. Remember, only post the exact link, we don't want you to get deleted! And your card may be chosen as our Featured Stamper, so give it your best shot!
All of Barbara's colors are favs of mine, but I really had a hard time finding some DP that suited....blues just are not that popular in the SU world for some reason! I did find a piece of Parisian Summer So Saffron plaid, so I went from there. I had seen some cute cards using stars on Deb's blog and then again on Michelle's blog, and I loved that look. But since these colors weren't really in that Western theme, I had to adapt a little. So here we go:
I stamped Tres Chic on the DP in So Saffron and antiqued the edges; the top of the panel went through the Big Shot using the Top Note die; I just put it through until the first cut was made, then backed it out again. My image is from Cornish Heritage Farms Shoe Boutique, stamped in Brocade Blue on Very Vanilla. I had piece of Swiss-Dots-embossed Certainly Celery left over from yesterday's card, so I punched some circles from that as a background for my Brocade Blue and Bashful Blue stars. A couple ribbon and brad embellishments and I have a baby card all ready for a stamping friend from church whose DIL is having a baby very soon. They already have two boys; her other daughter has three boys; she herself has another two sons.....I am hoping if I have made a boy card, she'll have a GIRL!!!! Then I can start all over again! LOL!
Now let's see what the other stampers have to show us this week:
