Hi everyone! This week’s JUGS challenge, hosted by Mona, is to make a pocket card. This is a fun technique, great for gift cards, or just something different. You can find the directions on SCS here. Here’s the whole card, all put together:

I used some masculine colors from the Thoroughly Modern DP line; I really tried hard NOT to use ribbon, but it just needed a little something!!! I will send this to my dad; I hope he doesn’t turn up his nose at the polka dots….nah, he’d never do that! Anyway, the sentiment is from All Holidays; the little stars are from Nursery Necessities; the star wheel is one of the new ones from the Summer mini, So Many Stars; and the tape measure is from Totally Tool. One neat thing is that my tab pull is a tag from Lots of Tags diecuts; I just added the brad and folded it over. Here’s a closer look:

ReplyDeleteThis is a cool pocket card. I love how masculine it is. I think masculine cards are hard. I love those big brads, and the tab to pull the card out. So cleaver!
