Happy Sunday, peeps! Wow, the last Sunday of August, and that means that Joanne has a fun Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe grid for us:
I chose the diagonal of stencil, free and animal! So here we go:
I recently got some plaid-making stencils, and I learned that I definitely need some more practice on them, LOL! This particular plaid used Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam Inks, and I added a thin line with a Mossy Meadow marker. I was using Blending Brushes but I am think the little foam daubers might be a better choice for the narrow openings---anyone have any tips?! Anyway, after doing the plaid, I added a stitched border of Mossy Meadow, then stamped the deer image from Rustic Centerpiece on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I think this image is detailed enough that it can shine on its own without being colored in:
Finally, I added a tag and a sentiment from the Christmas Labels stamp set and added some ribbon and floss:
Another sentiment went on the inside:
I hope you'll play along with Joanne's Tic-Tac-Toe grid this week! So many possibilities! Share your creation with us at the Paper Players blog! We can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

LeAnne... love the image but am wowed by the plaid. Fabulous job! For all that work, you should have featured it more. Love the card.
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, what I can see of your plaid looks great and I love the colors! This is such a wonderful stamped image - good choice allowing its line art to shine!

Adorable card!!! I agree that the deer & tree don't need to be colored. This image is soooo cute! I think you did a great job with your stencil and I love the colors you chose. Did you stitch the Mossy Meadow piece on the left side?
ReplyDeleteI found myself on the struggle bus with the plaid stencils as well, so I feel your pain lol! Anyway, the plaid on your card looks beautiful, LeAnne and is perfect for pairing with the rustic Christmas scene. It turned out so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour plaid look good to me and I'm loving the deer! It reminds me of deer my dad made for me from logs and branches for a holiday function when our son was in high school! This is cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, LeAnne! I think your stenciled plaid is glorious! I love the stitched strip of Mossy Meadow. The tag is perfectly placed. What a fun vintage vibe! Have a wonderful week!
