Happy Friday, peeps! I am stamping with the sweet ladies at a local retirement community today, so this will be quick! I have a sort-of slimline card to share; it uses the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments as well as the apple theme from Inspired By! They're celebrating their 300th challenge, woohoo!
There's a sweet little apple image in the new Choose Happy set, and that's what I used! Here we go:
Pretty straightforward---the apple was stamped with Memento Black ink and watercolored in. I diecut eachone with a Spotlight on Nature circle die and backed it with some retired Brushed Silver cardstock to mimic the buckets in the challenge photo. I mounted it on a piece of retired Pear Pizzazz which was embossed with the Cane Weave embossing folder and matted with a piece of Early Espresso:
A house on the street that we walk on to get to the beach has a metal signpost outside, and people randomly began putting magnets on it....it's a riot, although some of them are a bit risque!

ReplyDeleteOh, LeAnne, we are SO ready to head to the orchard - I wonder if they'll be early this year as everything else sure seems to be!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card - you always did do a great job translating those fun IB photos into cute cards!

p.s. I'm dying to read the rest of those magnets!
This is perfect! Thanks so much for playing along at Inspired By! Good luck in the draw!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love anything with apples and your card is no exception! Very sweet! Okay, the magnets are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for apple season! Cute card, Leanne and fun magnets!
ReplyDeleteThose magnets are a hoot! Fun! Your apple card is so cute! I am all about anything with apples! You did a great job on the watercoloring! Very kind of you to stamp with the seniors! Thanks for joining the hand stamped sentiments challenge!
ReplyDeleteYou made these two challenges look like they were made for each other!! I love the shading on your apples, leaving room for the shiny spot and the sweet, circle die cuts couldn't be more perfect! Love the pear pizza throwback too! Thanks for playing along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge!
ReplyDeleteThose apples are little cuties alright. The basket weave embossing folder is just right - like they're tucked into a picnic basket while the pretty die cut circles let them shine. The magnets are a hoot and I'm pretty sure that one of them has a picture of Ena Sharples on it - a blast from my childhood when everyone clustered around the black and white tv, with the one channel people could get, to watch Coronation Street. Wish I could see what that one says!
