Happy Friday, all! I am on a Christmas card roll here! My card today is for two challenges that I rarely participate in; The Flower Challenge, where they want us to color our flowers; and the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge, where they also want flowers!
I pulled out Poinsettia Petals along with the mug from Latte Love and did a little watercoloring---I must confess, I wish I had used a black ink instead of gray, but it is what it is:I used Smoky Slate to stamp my poinsettia, then watercolored it with Real Red, Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst inks. The berries were diecut and colored also, highlighted with a white gel pen. I happened to have a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock already embossed with this pine embossing folder so I diecut it with the new Spotlight on Nature dies, then added a diecut sentiment. It looked a little plain, so I added some gold pearls to the center. The mug was cut from some retired Dashing Through The Snow DSP.
I'll keep practicing coloring these poinsettias....practice makes perfect, right? Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

I LOVE this! I think I like the gray better than I would have the black. Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this beautiful CAS card LeAnne! The pale green is a lovely soft surprise teamed with the darker red and I really like the way you grouped your elements together. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI love how you've paired the light green with the red, LeAnne! Pretty poinsettia too!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, don't second guess a thing! Such a pretty Poinsettia and I think you've colored it splendidly! Count me among the many who think that sea foam circle was such a great choice - and it was right there ready to be appreciated? Makes it even better!
