AHSC568 Bubbles & Wheat

Happy Monday, peeps!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  Today, we have a new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch:

I am not going to belabor the fact that the In Color Wild Wheat is not one of my favorite colors!  But this sweet little patterned paper from Poetic Expressions was calling my name, so I went out of my comfort zone and embraced the wheat!  Here we go:

I cut some strips of the same DSP, different pattern, as well as a little strip of Bubble Bath, which was embossed with an Ellen Hutson Stitching Lines die, then attached them to the little print.  I used markers, ink and a blender pen to color in the sprig from Nature's Prints, then added the Hello sentiment from the same set.  Finally, some little banners, also embossed with the Stitching Lines dies, finished it off.  Although Wild Wheat is still pretty far at the bottom of my "favorite colors" list, I think this turned out pretty sweet!

I hope you'll be able to play with our sketch this week....I think it's a great one (especially because I love things in THREES--love those three strips!) and I am sure I'll be using it again!  Share your creation with us at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog--we can't wait to see it!

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

  2. Well, of course, I like this card because Wild Wheat is one of my favorites. Why? Because it reminds me of gold and not a baby's diaper...lol! That's what I've heard some people call it. Have a blessed day!

  3. You know I like it - just a little bit warmer than kraft to my eyes - but I never would have thought to use it with this bubble bath pink! LeAnne, it's stunning! [and I love every stitch!]
