Happy Sunday, peeps! We have fun Paper Players challenge for you today, courtesy of Jaydee, and I don't think we've ever had one quite like it! Here we go:
Aren't all those little critters adorable?! I JUST happened to have gotten a new little set of bunny and squirrel stamps from Impression Obsession, and I thought one of the images would be perfect for my little Easter notecard:
I took a pre-made SU note card, added a mat of Petal Pink and Regency Park DSP, then added my little bunnies to an oval of Basic White which was embossed with a polka dot embossing folder. I stamped the bunnies in Smoky Slate, so I added a scalloped mat of Smoky Slate as well. The Easter sentiment is from an older Paper Pumpkin kit, diecut with the Skylish Shapes banner. I added a little Smoky Slate banner behind it as well:
On the inside, I added a sentiment from an older Close to My Heart set:
I also used the FMS sketch as well as the Just Add Ink inspiration:
I used the bunnies and the colors as my inspiration!
We can't wait to see what you create with our "Two by Two" challenge! Be sure to share it with us at the Paper Players blog, and check out what the DT created as well! See you there!
Speaking of two by two, both Mr AND Mrs Pileated Woodpecker have made visits to our suet feeders over the last couple of days. I hear them before I see them...their sounds are quite unique! Mr has a little red moustache, that's how you can tell them apart! Here's a good view of the male:
The above shot was taken through our patio door. These were through the screen right outside my craft window, so not as clear, but you can see one has the moustache and the other doesn't....that's the female!
These things are huge! A downy woodpecker is just about the same length as the suet holder, so you can see how much larger they are! They really are fascinating to watch! Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

Love your card, love the birds. TFS and have a blessed day. I can't believe it's palm Sunday already!!
ReplyDeleteTWO darling duos, LeAnne!
ReplyDeleteI love your little, grey-stamped bunnies and this wonderful grey and peachy color scheme!!
Have you been able to follow the Pileated's back to their nest yet?

Your card is so cute with those adorable bunnies, LeAnne! Love all the dies you used to create this as well! The Notecards are so nice for a quick card! I am not much of a bird fanatic but I have been seeing lots of robins and cardinals in my back yard the last couple of weeks. Even some blue jays. Shawn just mentioned on Friday that he saw a woodpecker at work that was pretty cool to see up close! With the crazy winds today I hope the birds are laying low! Crazy weather but I sure loved those 70 degrees yesterday!
ReplyDeleteThose bunnies are so stinkin' cute! Great card!
ReplyDeleteAdorable bunnies and awesome shots of Mr. & Mrs. Woodpecker! We have lots of woodpeckers here but so far no pileated.
ReplyDeletePolka dots, pretty little flowers and sweet bunnies! Cute card, LeAnne. My guy would love to be in your backyard to see/photograph this pair!
ReplyDeleteThat polka dot embossing behind the bunnies reminds me of cottontails. Such a sweet card! So glad you joined us this week at FMS!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, those little bunnies are so sweet, as os your card. I love all the things you did, the emgossing and all the details on the die cut layers. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, I love your little bunnies - and the grey with the peach is a fabulous combination. The polka dots add wonderful texture and tie in beautifully with the flowers behind. Love it. Oh.... your pileateds! What a joy they are. I miss them! We really missed them when we sold the house. We were lucky enough to have one visit our balcony in the old apartment. No chance of seeing them in this one - so I shall visit and admire them on your blog instead!

Your little bunny card is super cute. Love the embossed dots. Reminds me of the little cotton tails on the bunnies.
ReplyDeleteAlso how cool to see those woodpeckers. We don't have that type around here.
It doesn't get much cuter than bunny butts, LeAnne! I love the Petal Pink and Smoky Slate color combo. The floral paper is perfect for Spring! Great shot of the woodpeckers! They are beautiful!
ReplyDeletePolka dots, flowers and bunnies shout Spring! I love this sweet card. SO prefect for the challenge! Those woody woodpecker pictures are fabulous!!!!!!! So fun to have them visit you!
ReplyDeleteBunnies and the same sketch - yet we both made quite different cards! This one is so soft and sweet LeAnne - it would make a great baby card too!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, your two bunnies are too cute and I love the soft gray and peach color combo. I like all of the texture on your card. I'm also jealous that you have Pileated Woodpeckers in your environment - we get smaller ones with red heads at our feeders and they drive the cats nuts!
ReplyDeleteXoxo, Fran
