SS298 Chalkboard Christmas

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I am still making Christmas cards....just because there still so many fun challenges out there and I have so many stamps!  Today my card uses the sketch from Sunday Stamps:

I wanted to do something a bit different, so I decided to do a chalkboard card...not all the stamping is "chalkboard", mostly the background; well, I pretty much covered that up too, LOL!  But here we go:

I used stamps from Forever Fern, inking them in Craft White ink on some retired chalkboard paper, then giving them a good dusting with some white pastels.  I diecut some greenery from the retired Cardinals dies, and created a sparkly off-white poinsettia with the retired Poinsettia dies and Vanilla Glimmer paper:

I added some red berries and a couple random flowers for a little more interest.  The sentiment was stamped in Real Red on some woodgrain paper and diecut, then matted with Real Red; the inside of the Real Red card has a little scrap of the reverse side of the woodgrain paper and another sentiment from the same set, Christmas Blessings from Simon Says Stamp:

Thanks for popping by today!

The pups all dressed up to go Christmas tree chopping!

Eden was a naughty girl though; she broke out of her harness and got into someone else's car!!!  I think she didn't like the netting machine, LOL!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

  1. Love this LeAnne - the contrast between the chalkboard background and the wooden paper detail for your sentiment, along with those beautiful poinsettias adds great texture and interest. Gorgeous!

  5. Love the way you've layered up all of these Christmas elements! This is pretty, LeAnne! I'll bet the owners of the other car were as surprised and rattled as Eden!

  6. That is a beautiful floral display against the black background. Your doggie sweaters remind me of the video I saw the other day of the woman whose husband bought her a Christmas sweater because it had the little red pick-up and tree on it, only he didn't realize it was a dog sweater for a big dog.
