Happy Sunday, everyone! Time for a new Paper Players challenge and this week, as we wind up November, Laurie has a fun sketch for us:
I just got this Simon Says Stamp Santa die in a recent order and couldn't resist playing with him for today's challenge! Here we go:
The panel looked a little bare so I diecut some red glimmer paper stars for fun, then mounted it all on a piece of Classic Christmas DSP. You can't go wrong with traditional red and green, especially when Santa is involved!
I hope you'll play along with our fun sketch this week; I love sketches, they're a great jumping-off point when you need a card! Check out what the Design Team did with it at the Paper Players blog, then share yours with us too!
This is totally unrelated to stamping, but during the Thanksgiving break I have been watching a Netflix series called The Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Anyone ever see it? I love quirky movies and series and this one fits the bill! It's a Korean series about a young female attorney who has autism. It's a little unsettling to have the English words dubbed in, but the plot lines are ingenious and watching the attorney deal with her autism in a professional and personal setting is really interesting. I just want to reach into the TV and hug her....but she doesn't like to be touched! If you like quirky films, you should give it a try! Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

This is so cute, LeAnne! I don't have Netflix but my daughter does and she watched Slumberland...said to have a box of tissues handy. When my sister-in-law visits in December, she has a Netflix account so I'll try and watch that series with her.
ReplyDeleteYour Santa is adorable, LeAnne! I'm loving this gorgeous starry green dsp - carrying a few glimmering stars onto your sentiment panel is so fun!
ReplyDeleteHaven't watched that show but I'll put it on my list!

LeAnne, that's one cute Santa! Love the red and green! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love Santas. This is a cute card. Those glittery red stars were just the right accent.
ReplyDeleteI looked at that Santa and thought it might be too much trouble, but he's so cute I may have to splurge. Have so much Christmas stuff already. BUT... a girl (in her late 70's!) has to do what a girl has to do. LOL
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
I love your card -- and your blog -- and those great glue holders you sell. My friends do too -- gave them as Christmas gifts last year and they're all happy!
Ooops, just realized it is another LeeAnn who sells the glue holders. But I DO love the Santa and the card and your blog!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the error. I''m old, what can I say????
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card and that Jolly Santa! The sentiment is fabulous and those stars steal the show. Just perfect! Have a great week, My Friend!
ReplyDeleteLove his rosy cheeks, this is adorable!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute Santa and a cute card!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable Santa die, LeAnne! He is so jolly with his rosy cheeks. The starry paper is so much fun. And speaking of fun...my son's girlfriend got me hooked on The Extraordinary Attorney Woo when we were visiting in Seattle. My husband and I both loved it. Of course, we had to binge it! I would definitely recommend it!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card! Love that fun santa!
ReplyDeleteThat lovely green star pattern sets off your cute Santa so well, LeAnne! Adorable.

What a jolly santa - looks great against the green and white background too, the perfect Christmas card. I haven't seen that series but thanks for the heads up - I love The Good Doctor so I'm sure if this is similar but with lawyers not doctors it will be a good watch! I'm currently watching the latest series of The Crown - it's just got to the Diana years, totally my era!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable LeAnne! I just got that Simon Says card kit too and this is wonderful inspiration to get cracking with it. I couldn't resist that adorable Santa and you made him shine with all of the sweet details. SO fun!
