TTTC170 Sparkling Birthday

Happy Thursday, everyone!  Are you staying cool?  It's pretty warm in our neck of the woods!  It's time for a new Tic Tac Toe challenge, with Team X as the host!  Here's our grid for this week:

I chose the middle row across of Birthday, Flowers and Sequins to make a shaker card!  And I will admit that this didn't come out quite the way I planned it, but hopefully it will still provide some sparkle to the recipient:

I started wtih a Basic White card base and added a mat of the bright pink Awash in Beauty DSP.  I used a clear acetate envelope to create a pocket in which I put the DSP and a bunch of sequins from my stash, then sealed it up and attached it with Sticky Strip to the front of my card.  I added a glimmer paper diecut birthday greeting to the front for some additional sparkle!  Of course, it's always a challenge to photograph a shaker card...all the goodies always sink to the bottom when you stand it up! Here's a shot from a different angle; hopefully you can get the effect!

As always, there are a lot of fun possibilities with our grid, so I hope you can find something that strikes your fancy.  Share your creation with us and check out what the other designers created at the Tic Tac Toe blog!

A few more items I judged from the grange competition:

A pretty embroidered Christmas table runner:

Another cute cross stitch:

This woodburned image was on a lovely footstool:

And I thought this was an interesting patriotic piece from a junior member:

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!
