Happy Wednesday, everyone! First, let me say thank you to all the sweet comments we got wishing Cassidy healing! She's doing much better! And now it's time to start The Card Concept challenges again...here's the pretty photo prompt Julie has to start us out for 2022! I chose to be inspired by the colors, the stripes, the florals and the silverware:
I also used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts:
and here we go:
My card is a little slimline one....3"x 6", and when I started, I had something totally different in mind! Does that ever happen to you? I diecut stitched squares of some Honey patterned paper from My Mind's Eye that coordinated with the colors in the challenge photo, then added some silver diecut elements to create my first Valentine of the year! I used Stitched Be Mine and Love Note dies to create my embellishments:
My diecut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp; I added a wee bit of embossing at the top portion of the card itself, then a stitched scallop border of Crushed Curry and some striped DSP from last year's spring mini. The inside was stamped with a sentiment from Jar of Love along with another row of hearts:
As far as the style, I would say it's my usual Clean and Layered! You can see all the styles on the Card Concept blog, and we would love to have you play along and tell us what your style is! Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Does that happen to me?? Sometimes I totally forget which room I'm in, let alone what I had in mind when I went there!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. This was a great combination of both challenges--it is really amazing. I especially love the bold black elements on the card. Thank you for joining us this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

So pretty! I love how you used each square as it's own little canvas!
