Happy Friday, peeps! Only a week until Christmas Eve...are you ready? I am NOT ready, LOL! But I will be! Sadly, I needed a sympathy card this week and while I was perusing the winners at Inspired By for my card yesterday, I saw another card by Nora that I really liked; you can see it here. I used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts:
And here's my take on her inspiration:
I used some Smoky Slate DSP for the background, then created a mat of Purple Posy on which to adhere a panel that was stamped with the words from Quiet Meadow as well as embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder. I added some diecuts in Basic White, a butterfly from Positive Thoughts and a wee bit of Black and White Gingham ribbon.
The sentiment is from an upcoming SAB set called Special Moments, which I predict will be very popular! Finally, I added this to the inside; it's from Sweet & Sassy:
Thanks for visiting today!
John's sister sent these pictures in her Christmas card to us this year; it was John's first sailboat!!!
Of course, it wasn't seaworthy, but he said he remembered having a lot of fun building it! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This is a very soothing card and quite worthy of CASEing! John hasn't changed much, just gotten taller ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card. I really like the contrasting gray background papers. The bit of color on the embossed panel is really nice too.
