Hi everyone! I am back from my little bloggy break and I have a sweet little Christmas card using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch for this week:
I had lots of wee little bits and pieces of Tidings of Christmas DSPs left from another project, so I used them to create this:
I cut each square with a Stitched Shape die, and the rectangle piece was cut with the Tailor Made Tag die, re-cutting the tag end. They all went on a Sahara Sand panel and Basic White card.
I added some Forever Fern and Poinsettia Petals embellishments, stamped in Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler, along with some Be Dazzling "berries":
I added some diecut sentiments and it was done!
I think these are some of the prettiest colors together! Thanks for popping in today!
The reason I took a bloggy break was to have some minor sinus surgery. The surgery went very well, although I am not sure it took care of the headache issues I've been having. Anyway, I got some lovely cards from kind friends:
This is from Lisa:
from Kathy:
from Donna & Linda:
from Colleen and Linda:
and this one was really special; it was from the nurses at the hospital where I had my surgery. This hospital will be closing at the end of the year and they'll all be losing their jobs, so it's even more bittersweet that they are still thinking of their patients! Edited to add: I just heard the hospital has been purchased! YAY! So hopefully they'll all still have their jobs!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

I missed you! Glad it's a done deal and hopefully the headaches will go away. This is a beautiful card. The DSP is one of my favorites and the sketch is great for it. Happy Thanksgiving to you, John, Dana, Wayne and Cassidy.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see your back and I hope your on the mend! Love your card today...so pretty and the colors are perfect for Christmas! Let's hope the hospital does not make too many changes as it moves forward with new owners. We lost 3 hospitals here in the last 20 years and I just heard there was a new one built up in Harrisburg earlier this year and just opened in October. It's sad that the smaller ones are being closed and now they are moving to the bigger cities. I personally would rather stay local than driving to the big cities. Get well, my friend and Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family! Hugs~
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, LeAnne! We'll all be sending extra prayers that those headaches will not return!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card - the berries were the perfect touch!
