Hi there stampers! Time for a new Paper Players challenge with Laurie as our hostess--here we go:
So many fun possibilities, just in time for Halloween! I pulled out some spooky Tim Holtz patterned paper I've had for a long time and found a suitable stamp and went to work:
After stamping the image with Stazon ink, I colored in the moon, then did some sponging to give it the same hue as the patterned paper:
I added a fun little sentiment, "sewed" around the edges with the Stitchery stamp set and created a couple little stars to embellish the tag:
Finally, I stamped this fun sentiment on the inside and diecut it with an Ornate Tag die:
I hope you'll play along with us this week with our fun "spooky" challenge...be sure to share it with us at the Paper Players blog, and while you're there, check out what the other designers have created! Thanks for popping in today!
So THIS happened yesterday:
My sweet stamping friend Michele from I Card Everyone drove ELEVEN HOURS from Michigan with her patient hubby Tom to visit me at my yard sale in Pennsylvania, LOL! I saw a couple walk into the garage and begin to talk to John in a secretive manner; I had a customer but I was keeping my eye on them!! Suddenly, the woman turned around and walked to me and my jaw dropped! What a surprise! We had a lovely day---they went to Longwood while we did our yard sale---then we went out to dinner and chatted away! I can't begin to tell you how special I felt! THANKS, MICHELE!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This witch reminds me of Samantha and that faux stitching is fantastic! What a great Halloween card. I love it that Michele and Tom surprised you! They're just the best, aren't they? So happy you got to meet them both. Love this photo of my teammies!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, this card has that perfect vintage vibe and I love the warm colors. You used all of th3e stitching beautifully. Such a perfect Halloween card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise! I love Michele's blog, too!
ReplyDeleteWow now that’s a garage sale to remember! Such a fun surprise! I bet you couldn’t believe it! And you know I Love your vintage style cards!
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween card is just fabulous! I love the faded appearance to the DSP and the way you blended the circle around the witch. As for the total surprise from Michele! You must have been totally shocked! It is so much fun to meet fellow stampers in person. Did you know that Michele and Bobby Hagen flew down to my house a few years ago and we drove to MFT for the weekend? Michele and I didn’t know each other all that well and Bobby and I are on JUGS together. I through the idea out to Michele one day and I was totally surprised when she said yes and that she was going to drag Bobby with her. We took a class with Kathy Racoosin and did some shopping. Good times! I hope to meet more fellow Stampers someday soon when we start traveling again. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteMeeting my crafty friends for real is just the most wonderful thing to do, LeAnne - seeing where your darling cards come to life makes each post more wonderful, too! Now where did you find time to create this little wonder? Bewitching, my friend!
