AYSI246 Happy Easter

Happy Friday, peeps!  Time for a new As You See It challenge...right on time for the Easter holiday!  You might want to do a fun card or a religious one!  I chose to do both!

My first one uses some current and retired products:

I used some Ornate Garden Specialty paper for my background, layering it on a Soft Seafoam card.  The cross from Cross of Hope die was cut from some Gold Foil, as was the back layer of the Nesting Labels die.  I heat-embossed a sentiment from the retired Easter Lamb set in gold embossing powder and diecut it with the banner die from the same die set:

I also added some Soft Seafoam leaves, diecut with the Pierced Blooms dies.  The inside sentiment was from an older SU set, God Bless II:

The second one is more whimsical; again, I used Easter Lamb with the same DSP line, and added some Pierced Bloom flowers and a Bumblebee Gingham ribbon:

I did a tiny bit of shading with some Blends, and added Pierced Bloom flowers as well:

And used the sentiment from the same set for the inside:

Finally, I used the sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday:

Oops, I forgot the little doodads at the top left!  Oh well!

We're open to any way you want to interpret our Easter-themed challenge this week, and we hope you'll play along!  Check out what the DT created at As You See It if you need some additional inspiration!  Thanks for popping by today!

Not an Easter lamb....but still cute!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"See!  The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.  Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land."  Song of Songs 2:11-12

  7. Two great Easter cards, LeAnne! Love the cross and the beautiful framing! Nice background too! The sweet lamb looks like she's in a field of flowers. So sweet and festive and a perfect illustration for your scripture.
