Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a pleasant weekend. I was able to do a little stamping and came up with a couple of cards! The first one is for Kim's FMS sketch; I needed a sympathy card for our youth pastor who lost a family member and I thought that sketch was quite intriguing....here's the sketch:
and here's the card:
As I was perusing my stash of DSP, I realized that the Poinsettia Place DSP had some patterns that were sort of generic and might look good for a sympathy card. I used a stitched strip die from Pretty Pink Posh to cut three pieces of DSP, then used my Stamparatus to stamp a sentiment from Comfort and Hope in between:
A stitched leaf in Garden Green along with some Linen Thread was my embellishment. On the inside, a sentiment from Here's a Card, plus some greenery from the Comfort and Hope set:
I hope it brings them some peace.
I also have a card for the Jingle Belles challenge of "inchies"---think big but go small! So cute, I love little inchie things, especially when I have a 1" punch that makes cutting them out a breeze! Plus it gives you a chance to use up some of those little scraps we all have! So here we go:
I have had this pad of DSP from Illustrated Faith for a long time and haven't used it much, so I chose some of the patterns (hard to do, as they all are cute and they all coordinate!), punched them out and layered them on my card. I added some doodads to make them even prettier:
The only stamping was the sentiment (Paper Smooches) and a little cardinal from a retired SU set called Nature's Christmas! The inside was stamped with some Illustrated Faith images as well:
Thanks so much for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful sympathy card LeAnne, inside and out, and I too hope it brings comfort to your youth pastor.
ReplyDeleteThe second card is lovely too. All those papers go together beautifully and I love the colour scheme and that wonderful sentiment.
Lovely photo of Cassidy too! Vicky x
I really like both of these cards! The sympathy card is just beautiful and with the thoughtful sentiment inside, it's sure to bring comfort. The 2nd is just delightful with all those snippets of great dsp! I think I may have to CASE your idea in the near future. Not that I have an over-abundance of dsp or anything! *wink*
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention how much Cassidy has grown! She's quite the beautiful young miss these days with such a pretty smile :)
