Hi everyone, happy Sunday! I am the hostess at the Paper Players this week and I have a fun sketch that will help you use up all those little scraps we all have hanging around our crafty area! And it can be used for any occasion! Check it out:
I chose some papers from Kaisercraft's Wonderland pad to create my first card (yeah, I have two!); here we go:
I used a Whisper White card base, and I cut the panels to 1 5/16" wide. Then I added little doodads in Balmy Blue and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and Blue Metallic Gems for some pizzazz:
And since this uses blue hues, I am entering this in the Double D Challenge, Winter Blues!
And I figured I would use the second piece of Whisper White for another Christmas card, this time using papers from 'Tis the Season, and a set I recently got from my friend and her stash:
I actually had a star punch to match this star from the set (Christmas Classics), and I added a green rhinestone to the center:
and a red rhinestone to the Mint Macaron Christmas tree:
And I just love this sentiment for the inside!
Please stop by the Paper Players blog to see what the other designers made with this sketch....they did a fabulous job with it! Hopefully you'll be inspired to create something too! I know it is a busy week here in the US, but for some families, Thanksgiving will be a bit subdued, so maybe you'll have some extra stamping time! We'd love to see what you can create! Thanks for popping in; enjoy your day and be blessed!

Love both of these LeAnne, but especially the muted colours of the first one with just a few touches of sparkle here and there. So pretty! Great sketch this week!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, your decorations on each of these pretty paper snippets are all so wonderful! Well done - twice!

I love these What a neat idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use patterned paper! Love all those blue shades and the glittery little doodads! The more traditional colors work perfectly with the star and tree!
ReplyDeleteWhat Joanne said! You came up with such a great design. I've seen Mary's card but now I'm off to check out the others.
ReplyDeleteOH WOW ... these are both fantastic! How different they look one from the other by using the different color palette on this fun design! GREAT JOB LeAnne! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Winter Blues’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Beautiful! I just love those embellishments!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards, LeAnne! I love the way you embellished the panels of the first card, and I equally love the traditional colors of the second one. What a great sketch!
ReplyDeleteTWO cards! Love them both - but...my fave is the one in blues. It's just stunning! :)
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, both cards are so beautiful and I love the added elements that really make them festive and sparkly, especially the blue one with the glimmer elements! Thanks for the fun sketch, I needed it to get me out of my lazy creative rut, LOL! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteGorgeosu cards, LeAnne! You always have such a way with the details. SO pretty!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne, they are both fabulous cards. I love the light and airy feel of the blue and white and all the details you added to both of them really make this sketch shine.
