Hi everyone! Time for a fun new Inspired By challenge! Aren't these bottle brush trees cuuuuute?
And here's our optional sketch for you to use, or not! I did choose to use it today!
I knew just what set I wanted to use too! Here we go:
Papertrey's Joyful Christmas has three sizes of these sweet little trees, and I used the largest one for my tree trio...say that three times fast! As far as the "old school" portion of my card, I stamped these in Versamark ink and pulled out my (really) old pastels to give them each a trio of colors!
I diecut them first and put them in Stamparatus with a cardboard template; after lining them up and inking them with Versamark, it was easy to take them out and swoosh them with a cotton ball and some pastels! I love how they turned out! The same set has this pretty sentiment, so I heat-embossed it in silver:
And I used another Papertrey set to stamp the inside:
I just can't wait to see how you interpret this prompt! I am already in love with the samples that the DT created! Check them ALL out at Inspired By...and show us yours too! Thanks for popping in today!
I thought I'd share some pictures of our great-nephews Zion and Titus, from John's side of the family! They're just as cute as Jameson and Sawyer, we just don't get to see them as often! My niece took advantage of the warmer weather (it's COLD right now) to go to a local county park:
Titus is on the left, Zion on the right.....you can't see his face as well, but trust me he's a cutie! And they're ALL BOY!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

ReplyDeleteI haven't used this technique in ages and it's perfect for these pretty trees! Love these colors! More adorable nephews! Don't they always go straight to the water!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I also have my pastels from ages ago but I’ve never tried that technique with the Versamark. You’ve given me some inspiration (as usual) and I’m going to look for a set that I might use the swooshing on!
