Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a good weekend! The Fusion Card Challenge had an interesting sketch for a Thanksgiving card:
so I made a Thanksgiving card (two, actually) as well as a Christmas card! First, the really, really CAS Thanksgiving card using circles cut from In Good Taste DSP and a sentiment from Banner Year, and embellished with a piece of Early Espresso Faux Suede ribbon:
And while I had those papers out, I made another one with banners instead of circles; this one uses Braided Linen ribbon and a little acorn from the same Banner Year set, layered on Crumb Cake:
For the Christmas card, I used larger circles and some Toile Tidings DSP, which I have totally neglected this season! I just love the sweet little scene, it reminds me of my own childhood, sledding down our barn bridge and building snowmen with my siblings!
I used a retired Snow Flurry embossing folder and a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas. Simple and easy! And since this has Christmas stamping and an embossing folder, I am entering this one at Let's Squash It! as well as Christmas Kickstart!
Thanks for popping in today!
Brilliant maple trees from my yard:
This tree was so yellow, it turned the whole yard yellow! Beautiful! And now...they're all gone....laying on my yard, wet and soggy! Thanks for popping in today!
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." John 14:1-4
I'm so happy you remembered to use this toile paper again this year, LeAnne... I just love it!
ReplyDeleteAlso love your CAS thanksgiving cards - THAT wood look is the paper I used for my ornament btw - a gift from a very sweet friend! [think they still have it in stock?]
=]
I love DSP and your cards are fabulous with the papers! The brown tones are so rich!
ReplyDeleteWonderful CAS cards and a gorgeous yellow tree!
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to use those In Good Taste papers LeAnne! Love the wooden banners with that delicate bit of stamping in the corner. The Toile card is stunning with its combination of patterns and the subtly embossed background. What a charming memory too :) I think God gave us maples to strengthen our faith don't you! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI love all the wood grain textures on your first card! CAS perfection! Thanks for playing over at The Fusion Card Challenge.
