Hi peeps! Wow, what a fabulous weekend weather-wise we had...temps in the mid-70s! I think we are having the October weather that passed us by last month! I am sure we'll pay for it later on, though, LOL! The Christmas Card Throwdown challenge had a "challenging" sketch for sure, but I gave it a go! Here's the sketch:
I have my stamp clubs today, so I was trying to make some samples with the Classic Christmas DSP papers...I just love them! SO here we go, in the color palette of Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce:
I used a die from Ornate Layers and layered on pieces of the little tree pattern in the corresponding colors:
These dies are a bit fussy to use, but they certainly are worth the effort! In order to not compete with the intricate borders, I just did a very simple sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas. I did put the panels on a layer of Whisper White diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die and embossed with the Dainty Diamonds EF! Another Christmas card to add to the stash! Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!
Very pretty, and yes, Joyous! Have fun today!

Lovely, I enjoy your Monday Christmas cards,
ReplyDeleteWhat trick do you use to get the 'Sticking Chads", out of your designs?
I love all the textures you've got in this. Wonderfully done!
ReplyDeleteThose dies are ornate and I can imagine there's quite a bit of poking bits out of them! Love the EF in the background and oh my goodness, let's all wish joy to the world! Vicky x
