Hi there, stampers! Thursday brings a new Inspired By challenge...woohoo, I loved this one...those peachy hues are right up my alley! Although these colors don't match my living room, I would still love to have pillows like these:
And here's our optional sketch!
I searched through my vast supply of retired DSPs because I knew that I probably had some Grapefruit Grove or Crisp Cantaloupe in there somewhere! When I found a few that I liked, I pulled out a really old Papertrey hexagon die and went to work:
The process of cutting, poking and replacing all those wee little pieces was a bit time-consuming, but it was fun and relaxing, watching the colors fill in the grad! The die comes with a couple of templates that you can use, depending on how many different colors or patterns you are incorporating. I only chose four:
To make adhering the pieces easier, I cut a piece of Adhesive Sheet and applied it to the front of my card, then laid down the outer grid, then the pieces to fill in. I heat embossed a birthday sentiment on to some Basic Black cardstock, and added a couple of circular elements and another Papertrey die, this time a butterfly that I embossed with the Ornate Floral EF:
I have several birthdays coming up this month, so it's nice to have some cards on hand! I hope you'll check out what our designers did at the IB blog, and I hope you'll play along with us! Thanks for popping in! Enjoy your day and be blessed!
